Current Mood: | I hate the US I used to love the US back in the 90s, all I wanted to do was go there on vacation and perhaps to settle down. And I did, 6 months I lived there, on vacation. I tried to get a work permit, but US immigration policies, even for Europeans are almost completely closed unless you have 1.5 million dollars, or have a sponsored job, or is some kind of advanced scientist.
This country which was formed on immigration has now completely split with that pas, but has also the last 10 years managed to split with its whole past entirely. Its acting like some braindead monster man in the streets who care not for what people say, but hears what he wants and reacts violently to anything that is close to not being very nice. US policies in Iraq has in the media age proven to be a complete disaster, no longer is US propaganda properly working, but its so obvious now that the war of words over Iraq was a complete fraud.
Russia now has finally put their foot down on the US maniac policies and are actually saying by invading Georgia that they can also do whatever they please, but that they do not, that they select their actions away from home by very strict standards. I do not believe that anyone with more than a semi functional brain believe that the Iraq war was more justified than Russia going into Georgia, because it wasn´t. Russia now demonstrated several things, and while the US politicians wet their beds, Russia clearly told them that nuclear war can now be a result of US policies, Russia has finally said STOP to the US, which is should have done years ago, but better late than never. Us policies are leading the world towards disaster, why does the US claim that the nuclear shield in Europe will make Europe and the US more safe when it can actually lead to global disaster and nuclear war, because of US silly war policies and paranoia. Why does the US have to play Russian roulette with the world?
About damn time Russia woke up, and I believe I am not the only one that can see that Russian foreign policy is far more intelligent and thought through than US policies, and I believe I am not the only European that are now more secure in Russian global leadership than US leadership.
Is NATO in question? Do we feel so safe from Russia that we could isolate and break ties with the US? Almost I say, almost, this would maybe actually increase global safety and put US in an ackward position of punishment they deserve, and the reassert their policies. I loved the war of words between the US and Russia, because it clearly shows everyone that the US is completely wrong, and what a completely twisted gang of freaks the US government really is..
Do I now hate the US? No, but its not very far from..

Much of what you sy is true. But, it's not the American people who has those dumb ass policies. It's the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld clan and their neo-con rich selfish CEO-type friends who have treated this country, and the world, like their own personal playground for 8 years. I will be clapping louder than you when they leave town!
That is why McLips and company cannot win this election. We, and the world, can NOT aford 4 more years of this ****!
Hang in there,

So Russia's actions against Georgia are more legitimate than Iraq? How so?

Do I now hate the US? No, but its not very far from.. | In defense of the U.S., decades of having to be the world police have lead us astray of actually being world leaders. How often is the U.S. expected to invest the most abroad or go to the aid of the distressed, while much of Europe stood idley by. Thus, there has been mistakes and poor leaders picked, but the U.S. remains the beacon of hope for the rest of the world, and if you would rather put your faith into the hands of psuedo-tyrants like Putin, then be my guest, for you will learn that dealing with the devil has its consequences. |

Lean: Independent Gender: | Re: I hate the US the Russians weren't attacked. No really, people bring this up as Russia's reason for going to war with Georgia but, remember, Georgia was fighting seperatists in Ossetia, which was not in any way part of Russia. If there were russians there and they got attacked, they kind of deserved it.
Also, we don't even know what truly happened to cause it in the first place. One moment there was the olympics, the next moment Russia said Georgia attacked them and moved in. Who attacked first is a matter of debate now and Russia should have waited untill after it was settled via investigation.
As far as the US is concerned. No my friend Maximus, the US had nothing to do with this war. Russia attacked Georgia for its own greed and then pulled a WTF? and blamed the US. No, its just Russia showing tis own idiocy that, despite what they might think, they are no better than the US in Iraq. The only thing that could have stopped it would have been Georgia's entry into NATO. |
