How can you possibly tell a power that you're treating them fairly but you want to deny them their right to defend themselves? A nuclear Israel is an obvious threat to Iran, and the obvious response is the Iranian nuclear program.

I'm suprised this is the first Middle Eastern power to acquire the bomb. In the future we have the possibillity of a nuclear Syria and Egypt to look forward to.

Either they can all have the bomb, or no on can. No one will tolerate their hostile neighbors having the bomb without being similiary armed.

We all know of the Ahmaddinijahd's oral threats of first use against Israel. Your task, since you are carrying water for Iran, is to demonstrate where Israel has threatened first use against Iran.

I could agree to a nuke free Middle East but it’s just a fantasy.
I accept Israel having a nuclear arsenal considering the fact she is surrounded by people who wish to destroy her, It would be nice if they didn’t have a need for them but then again she really doesn’t need them because she has handed the Arabs their azz each and every time they have attacked her.

With your argument over Iran being allowed to develop nukes I can see it in simply terms. Just because a law enforcement officer is allowed to carry a weapon doesn’t mean a mentally F’ed person should.

Accepting a nuclear Israel is tacitly accepting every nuclear arms for every Middle Easter nation- not as a position of policy but as a matter of realism. There is no way any country in Iran's position would ever tolerate Israel having such power over them. It doesn't matter whether they're good or bad, no country would accept such a relationship. Therefore, when Israel has the bomb its hostile neighbors will inevitable acquire it as well.

If the positions were reversed, with Iran arming first, my criticism would be exactly the same.

We are not police and Iran is not a "f'ed up person". We're sovereign powers engaging in interaction on a world stage.

Iran is moving to become dominating power in the ME. They have zero need for nukes. Unlike the BS they spit-up no one is making any threats to destroy them.
MAD wont work with a country that is controlled by a strict Islamic doctrine.

This is exactly what I've been maintaining forever.

Iran isn't Al Qaeda, Iran has roads and a phones and lights and leadership with an investment in guaranteeing the operation of those roads and phones and lights. they're play the same game as we are, even if they're the opposition.

They'll engage in arms talks, they'll accept MAD and detente, they'll do everything an industrialized nation state with nuclear weapons does.
