ACAPULCO, Mexico (AP) -- Soldiers and police fanned out Friday across the southern Mexican state of Guerrero, chasing a wounded gang leader and trying to quell a wave of violence that included the discovery of hidden graves holding dozens of bodies and a camp where gunmen stored the severed heads of nine rivals in a cooler.

Obama wants these people in our country so that Americans can be killed.

Dude, it's ok, you don't have to spout this nonsense any longer because he's not going to be President anymore.

We travel to Mexico on an average of three times a year, no problem. Like the US if you are stupid enough to go to certain areas you might expect problems. I think your attitude might be derived from caca and lack of personal experience. Mexicanos on the whole are fine people worthy of respect.

Got something to say about this or are you just assigning reading again?

Yes, many are fine people and many more are unscrupulous criminals. Not everyone understands the pitfalls of foreign travel. There are many Tinker Bells out there.
And you have been lucky, imo. Many Americans never come back from there. No place...............is totally safe, no place.

Sure, these are the kinds of people that can easily slip into this country, any day of the week. Hopefully, Trump will put out a directive and change the past policies of obozo and actually allow the BP to do their jobs.
If that wasn't the answer you were looking for, all I can say is that you solicited one from me.

Just another brick in the wall...

Of course it's not a big deal of Americans go to Mexico. Americans aren't known for leeching off of Mexican social welfare and murdering their citizens. It's a privilege to have Americans visit that third world sewer.

If he can make his way to Chicago, he'll be fine.

Yeah, maybe I have been lucky. Over the last 25 years I have seen a lot of Mexico, though not enough. We aren't finished traveling in Mexico by a long shot. We continue to consider retiring to Puerto Vallarta or maybe Guanajuato. We've seen no reason not to. You can continue to huddle up with your family and sleep with the light on lest the sons of Pancho Villa find you in your sleep. Meanwhile, about 3 months ago I had lunch with a grandson of Emiliano Zapata. Amazingly he didn't try to kill me. That must be difficult for you to comprehend.

Yesterday we had Thanksgiving with friends of ours. Four of the other guests were Mexican-Americans. One of the Mexican-Americans' family have lived in New Mexico and Arizona for 7 generations (obviously before New Mexico and Arizona and Mexico existed). None of them tried to stab my wife or I with a fork or a butter knife. Imagine that, them being here first for generations and all.

As for travel outside the US, it is our hobby. We love to travel. We love being lost in other countries where we speak little or none of the language. We have never had any issues. One of the first things we do is try to stay the hell away from other Americans. We have never been on a tour or a cruise. Often we have only a light itinerary with no reservations.

The facts are most Americans have never traveled outside the US. They have no idea what the world is like. They don't know that many countries enjoy more freedom, less oppression and less crime than the US.

Yeah? When was the last time you went down? Where did you go? How often have you been to Mexico?

I live on the border and feel totally safe. The people are the best thing about it. They treat you like family. I have to say, though, that there have been people killed in Mexico, mainly Mexican citizens, who have been killed through no fault or doing of their own or because they were in certain areas they shouldn't have been. Sometimes the cartels like to make a statement that nobody is safe.

Just keep'em South of the border. OK?

I went to a Taco Bell a few weeks ago, so I know all about making a run for the border. It's the closest I'll ever set foot to Mexico.
