Full scale invasion on Ukraine by Russia, what would be the international reaciton

In the event of a full scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia, what would be the reactions of the international community? It seems like the obvious reaction of the infamous 'world police' aka the United States would send troops to fight a war in Ukraine. However, I think the last thing the government wants right now is to take it to the next level with Russia by going to war. How are other countries of the world going to react? What do you think?

We would write them a strongly worded letter.

We'd draw some imaginary red line and then back off it and say we didn't mean that.

The US cannot, in good conscience, oppose an invasion of Ukraine by Russia. For over a hundred years, the US has been interfering in the political affairs of countries all over the world. We should let the Ukrainians and Russians find a solution to their difficulties on their own.

Fortunately there is sensible leadership in Russia who we can rely upon to keep the world safe - even in the face of our American warmongers.

One of the biggest realities that I see is the Russian BUK missile system which one lone missile shoots down the one aircraft.

It is said that the BUK can go 80,000 feet (or more) see Wiki, and it is a mobile launcher too.

At that range it can shoot down an ICBM or any American fighter jet and the BUK is a tactical weapon and not the Russian front line defense.

More importantly is that the Russian President Putin has behaved in a very professional and brilliant ways, and they can annex the entire eastern Ukraine just as easily as they did to the Crimea, and the USA is playing like a petty bully trying to interfere in affairs that are not ours.

I like our President Obama, and I hope that he is speaking more politically then realistically, but I fear that Obama might really be heeding the rotten advice from the American congress of warmongers.

Russia is a modern democracy, if not entirely Western and liberal. It's not like Saddam (a genocidal dictator) invading Kuwait (a backwards totalitarian monarchy). Worst case scenario, Ukraine is ruled by a larger version of Chavez's Venezuela. Sorry, but that's not worth world war let alone US or Euro war resources.

Correcting Russian land-grabbing is so far down the priority list, Putin is well aware the situation is his to resolve.

Whom did the US annex? Where were the US colonies? Oh, that's right... the US helped to install democracy and left the people to rule themselves.

If we're gonna play games with false equivalence, let's at least focus on Europe, which actually did such things.

Yeah, conscience is irrelevant though. US imperialism is of a different thread, but equally harmful on a humanitarian level. You're right that this is a Ukrainian/Russian problem, save for the fact that our State department was working with Yat's (who would run the interim government) after our supported violent overthrow of the elected Ukrainian government. He resigned yesterday I heard.
