The age-old pesky U.S.-Mexico border problem has taxed the resources of both countries, led to long lists of injustices, and appears to be heading only for worse troubles in the future. Guess what? The border problem can never be solved. Why? Because the border is the problem!

Never fear, a satisfying, comprehensive solution is within reach: Megamerge: the Dissolution Solution. Simply dissolve the border and megamerge the two countries, with mass 2-way migration equalizing the development and opportunities

Megamerge: The Dissolution Solution - T.L. Winslow (TLW), "the World's Greatest Genius" (tm)

Any thoughts?

The border is not the problem its the elected officials in office who refuse to have that border secured.

The second problem magnets that draw illegals here. The magnets are the scum who hire illegals, the scum in office who give benefits to illegals and their children, and the scum who allowed the facilitation of chain migration of relatives other than spouse or minor children.

I am pretty sure adsorbing a 100 million plus people most of whom are probably dirt poor into our country would cost us lots of money in social and educational services and infrastructure and additional cost. This would probably cause us to go broke because the idea that we would absorb a country and not do **** for them is laughable, especially with all the whiny liberal groups around.

Watch out - when you jerk your knee that fast you have to stand perfectly straight or your jackboots might break your jaw :)

The sudden absorption of 100 million "dirt poor" Mexicans will drag the U.S. down? Duh, we already absorbed probably 20-25% of them and it doesn't seem to be killing us, I guess there's a threshold, maybe 50%, where's your scientific equations, professor? Will one more Mexican break the camel's back? He's defeated, he must accept his shame? Come on now. When Mexicans begin sending guerrilla armies at night to destroy our good life, then you can worry. Right now they go through Hell just to get a job and support their familias, and gladly work to build the U.S. up. All they ask is a decent wage.

The Megamerge: Dissolution Solution is serious and I've thought it out. Each Mexican state would have to petition for statehood and provide a constitution, and Congress would have to approve it, which would take years, during which time mutual interchange of advisers and population, plus likely infusion of U.S. capital would prepare for it. The best case is all 31 Mexican states being incorporated at the same time, and the border dissolving like a magic wand. There will be no Oklahama Land Rush to the north, but more likely one to the south, as gringo-Americans head down to the new certified U.S. land of opportunity, building new cities out of the sand that will have plenty of jobs for the lower spectrum, which eager Mexicans will line up for, even moving back down south to apply for. And I guess you forgot about all those Mexican natural resources, such as oil, that they would bring into the equation.

So it's hardly a doomsday scenario, give me that much. It's a
permanent, satisfying solution that will end the sad cycle of
barrier-building followed by amnesties that is what is really
bleeding the U.S. dry, learn more about plaque buildup at
artery tour dot com, then ask your doctor if it's time for
Megamerge. And it will make us not only friends but fellow
citizens, working on the same team vis a vis the rest of the
world, which, as you might not have noticed, is shrinking, with
our top position being threatened yearly, you can set your
home DVR to record the day's games right here, logic says you
can't pound a nail where you can't swing a hammer, so much for
logic?

You think it's just a matter of politicians closing the border up better, those that don't being "scum"? Is that like laundry scum or the kind that comes from nuts? :) That's a persuasive intellectual argument, you caught me red-handed and I promise to give my filthy habit up, I'm throwing in my scummy towel now :) BTW, were you also intrigued by the claim that ExtenZe makes males perform better?

Stop watching those knee-jerk commercials and just try Megamerge: the Dissolution Solution, guaranteed scum-free. Your children will thank you from their thriving native cities below the kaput former border.

Ciao.

I don't know why I'm bothering to reply, given the OP's obvious attitude, but I suppose hope of finding intelligent life springs eternal:

Has it perhaps occurred to you that the political, legal, cultural and economic differences between the US and Mexico might be just a LITTLE bit of a problem in merging the two countries?

Mexico, a government steeped in corruption in ways so far beyond our petty little scandals-du-jour that you can barely comprehend it?

Mexico, where the purpose of the law is mostly to keep the peons down and the patrons on top?

In this big megamerge, do WE adopt Mexican law, or does Mexico adopt US law, and who says either would be willing? HUGE differences...
Law Enforcement...HUGE differences...

This is not a workable solution by any means. Mexico isn't simply the back yard of the USA, it is a unique country with its own language and culture, its own history and tradition; its own good points, and some ENOURMOUS problems.

You can't fix the situation by taking an eraser to the border.

I started reading your dissertation, but soon stopped. Egomania and idiocy are not an appealing combination, and my time is valuable.

You are not worth bothering with. Bye.

You took the words right out my mouth. Stop reading or you might learn something every week like me.

No more replies to you either. I was right about your deck being missing a few cards, and I'm getting more intelligent replies elsewhere.

Ciao. That means bye if you can read Italian.

...Hellllllllllll no!

Watch out - when you jerk your knee that fast you have to stand perfectly straight or your jackboots might break your jaw :).

Jackboots? IS this some pro-illegals trash nonsense that if you are against illegal immigration then you must be some sort of Nazi or facist? For someone claiming to be a genius you seem not know a thing about Nazi analogies in debates, you should look up Godwins law.

The sudden absorption of 100 million "dirt poor" Mexicans will drag the U.S. down?

Money doesn't grow on trees. You must be a liberal or a little kid to think it does. Those 100 million plus people will have to be taken care of,educated and infrastructure provided.

Duh, we already absorbed probably 20-25% of them and it doesn't seem to be killing us,

Hiding from the law, refusing to learn the language of the land and making substandard wages is not being absorbed.

I guess there's a threshold, maybe 50%, where's your scientific equations, professor?
If Mexico was such a prosperous country then the majority of the 12-20 million plus illegals would not be Mexican citizens. Nor would you be suggesting such a nonsensical idea as adsorbing a 3rd world country at the expense of US tax payers. So save your sarcasstic drivel for someone else

When Mexicans begin sending guerrilla armies at night to destroy our good life, then you can worry.

Where did I mention guerrillas, are you delusional?

Right now they go through Hell just to get a job and support their familias, and gladly work to build the U.S. up. All they ask is a decent wage.
If they are here illegally then **** them I do not want them here. I could care less what hell they went through to get here.

We annexing Mexico and tell them to draft constitutions seems rather delusional and idiotic.

And I guess you forgot about all those Mexican natural resources, such as oil, that they would bring into the equation.

What are those natural resources worth? How long would it take make a profit off those natural resources to cover the cost of aiding all those people? You really haven't thought anything.

Nothign wrong with barrier building.

You have offered no real solutions.Annexing 3rd world countries will only make us more broke. And we can not keep annexing or taking over every 3rd world country whose citizens decided to invade our country. IF you were such a genius as you claimed then why not come up with a solution that doesn't involve Mexico being annexed.

Any group of citizens unwilling to have their own revolution to clear out their corrupt government is not suitable for citizenship in the USA...
Mexico has lots of resources, but their best resource is the smallest, their middle class. They need to fix their own problems and we need to fix ours. One of ours is a bunch of politicians and citizens here breaking laws for financial gain. They should be prosecuted, and fined double their net worth....then they get to stand outside of Home Depot and Lowes begging for work...

Apart from the comment about liberals, this is a pretty poignant comment. I don't think Germany did super well for years after unification. While West Germany was prosperous, it still cost billions of Marks/Euros to integrate 15 million people who share a common language and were only seperate for 40 years. The US will have a tougher time taking on Mexico with no history of integration, a different language as well as different social, political and legal cultures.

You might have an easier time integrating Canada with its similar standard of living, (predominant) language and other systems.

Is the light going on yet? But you superior gringos are probably groaning, thinking that the flood would break, and your daughters would start dating Hispanics and converting to Catholicism and making that ahaha cry and dancing the Mexican hat dance. Think harder, they already do, who doesn't like to say salsa? And you superior Mexicans are probably groaning too, thinking that the flood would break, and your daughters would start dating gringos and converting to pagans and watching The L Word. Think hard, they already do, who doesn't have the Internet or cable TV?

There is so much wrong with this, I don't even know where to start.
