Fabio is now a citizen of the United States.

"This is one of the happiest days of my life," he said in a statement posted by the agency. "Over the course of my career I've had the opportunity to travel the globe and America is still the greatest country on earth. There is no such thing as an Italian dream or an English dream but the American dream is alive and well."
Ladies and gentlemen, isn't this evidence that we should open our doors to people with a demonstrated "attachment to the principles and ideals of the U.S. Constitution" and an "understanding of the country's history and government?"

<snip?
With all respect to my mother's blood and relatives, in terms of governance and economics there's not much to think about between the two countries.

Even the highly vaunted Italian cultural aspects fall short for me, as I much prefer the multi-cultural and muli-culinary experience here in the States, and suspect many feel similarly.

Now it is pretty dayem cool to live and walk among the remnants of the early western civilization of the Holy Roman Empire - I'll definitely give it that!
