Vicente Fox believes Mexican nationals can vote in US elections

It's not to defend our race, it's not to defend our creed, it's to defend this very same nation that is hosting you

hmm, good to know he's doing it for me

This nation is going to fail if it goes into the hands of a crazy guy

more likely "We wont be able to sneak in any more if Trump wins"

Yup. We don't "host" citizens, we host foreigners, so who is he appealing to? Who is he asking to vote against Trump? Illegals.

I hope Fox continues this loud and strong. It will mean President Trump.

Nice thread title. Care to show where he said Mexican nationals could vote in the US elections? I'll wait.

Read the post right after your question.

thats the other thing, he says "the nation thats Hosting you" aka "the nation we're invading"

just another dishonest politician

edit: he rather pretend all these illegals just invited themselves over for a slumber party.

That didn't answer the question.

Indeed it answered your question. We don't host citizens. So who do you think he was talking to? Who is he wanting to escort out to the desert, where coincidentally illegals enter our country?

Ok, he didn't pick the perfect English word to express himself but by watching the actual interview I don't get the impression he things Mexican nationals can vote in US elections.

I think you need to re-read your thread title. No where in the article does talk about Mexican nationals voting in US elections. he talks about Hispanics in America

Please: You Hispanics, Latins in U.S.

Now if you are all stuck on his terminology I don't know what to tell you other than he's from another country and English isn't his first language.

Fox knows precisely what he's saying and who he's talking to. He's not talking to US citizens. He's addressing illegals and all their supporters (some of whom I grant may be citizens).

Interesting that as an alternative you're assuming Fox is dumb as dirt because English isn't his first language. You know he has advisors who speak perfect English. Racist much? :lamo

It's not the best word choice, but honestly I don't get the impression that he was talking about illegals voting at all. It seemed he was talking about the same Hispanics who voted for Trump in Nevada.

Let's suppose you're right. Do you see how offensive that is to those who worked their butts off to become citizens or were born of those who did, to have him claim ownership over them like that? Especially if you believe he was talking to republicans of that descent.

You guys know I'm not a Trumper by any stretch... but... I don't know about this one. This is the same President of Mexico that created and handed out fliers (not him personally, he had government employees do it) to Mexicans and others on how to cross our border and get past the Border Patrol. I have a hard time thinking he used the wrong word. He isn't an idiot and is fluent in English. I have to think he knew exactly what he was saying, and that he believes that illegals can vote in the US. For that matter, there are cities in California, and potentially other places (I just don't know), that allow illegals to vote in local elections. It isn't that far from there to voting in federal elections as well. At least here in NC, we have a voter ID law that will stop it IF they try.

Not super offensive since people tell other groups of people to vote all the time, but pretty dumb yeah.

Talk about intellectually dishonest.

It's like the difference between family calling you out vs some goober on the street. Not so much offense when family does it, but fighting words when the goober on the street does it.

I don't see where he said that.
What we cant see from what he said thought is that Vincente Fox doesn't understand that Hispanic is not a race.
He also doesn't understand that he is not President of Mexico anymore so he doesn't get to make the call on who pays for it.
He doesn't believe the exit polls stating that Trump got >40% of the Hispanic vote in Nevada, more than Cruz and Rubio combined. I guess he cant imagine that Hispanics that came here and have a job realize that many of their jobs might be lost to illegals so don't want them.

He does say Trump is crazy and ego-centric... I guess its takes one to know one.

The man does not have a command of the English language. Maybe he meant a different word other than hosting.

What I like best is the Washinton Post's description of Fox, the former failed President of a failed state, as a "World Leader". With enemies like Fox Trump has less need for friends.

The worst part about what he actually said is that it implies that he holds sway over Mexicans that have immigrated here and have become citizens. So these "citizens" seem to hold more loyalty to Mexico than to the US, according to Fox.

Which is exactly what critics of immigration have been saying for years.

I don't see anyone taking offense about Fox, but I seen plenty of immigrants complaining about the country that is hosting them. Interesting how that works. For me, that ought to be grounds for deportation.
