Sessions: Melt Congress' Phone Lines, Stop Obama's Planned Executive Amnesty

Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) is putting a call out to the American people: He needs help to kill President Barack Obama’s plans to grant executive amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.

Sessions wants Americans to melt Congress’ phone lines, demanding their members make a precondition of any border crisis bill that Obama’s executive order amnesty via the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and any future plans be stopped.

“The American people have begged and pleaded for years for our laws to be enforced,” Sessions said in his statement. “We have people in our own country living in violence, fear and poverty every single day. They have demanded an immigration policy that puts their jobs, wages and communities first. Every citizen should pick up the phone and ask of their congressional representative: where do you stand?”

Sessions said that it would be wrong for any member of the House or Senate to support any border crisis bill that doesn’t end DACA and block the president from expanding it.

I agree, let's melt the phone lines both those that are for and those that are not. Let all voices and perspectives be heard.

This should be of extreme concern to EVERY American.

I'm sure it is, but some want support for Obama's plan so he doesn't have to do it with executive order, and others don't. Both sides should melt the phone lines and be sure their voice is heard. Not just the anti's such as yourself.

In case you hadn't noticed, y'all seem to be pretty much anti-everything, hence the least effective Congress' 2011-present.

You say that likes it's a bad thing.

I'm glad there's been a push back against this regime and it's Progressive [i. e. communist] agenda.

If the POTUS does go ahead with this insane plan, I hope he's impeached.

No one knows what...of even if... the President will take EO action on immigration.

Oh my, what a load of crap... you hoped he'd be impeached five minutes after he won the 2008 election. Don't go trying to claim this is new or is based on any of his actions or inactions.

Because it is.

The people who elected Republicans to go to DC didn't elect them to support the Democratic agenda. They sent them to DC to represent themselves. So to them, it isn't a bad thing. Their reps weren't elected to rubber stamp everything Obama wants.

Damn right I NEVER wanted him 'leading' this country....ever!

So since your attitude about him has never changed, we can ignore any comments you make about him. They are just a continuation of a base hatred that had, and therefore has, no basis in reality of what he does or doesn't do.

I don't care if you read my comments or not. The fact is some of us saw right through his thin veneer.

Most lefties did too. He's a centrist corporatist. Always has been. There's very little "progressive" or "liberal" about his policies.
