My God!
What an eye opener this show is!
G.H.W. Bush is a much better President than I realized. From his inner strength of character to his tendency to build relationships with foreign leaders even before problems broke out, to his refusal to gloat at the fall of the Soviet Union when virtually EVERYONE in Washington - both Democrats AND Republicans - were urging him to 'dance' atop the remaining sections of the fallen Berlin Wall, to his decision NOT to follow the Iraqi Army into Baghdad in 1991 and his tendency to conceal his emotions, to his ability to strike it rich as a Texas oil 'wildcatter' when the rest of his family was into the investment business in the N.E., to the fact that he joined the Navy on his 18th birthday in the midst of the war and became the youngest pilot in the Navy, this guy was and is an American original and yet we have somehow overlooked just how great he was. There was much more to him and his presidency to appreciate than we realize.
This is a great show. You will learn just what a great man he is.
He was everything Reagan aspired to be in the movies.
Reagan played a sports star. George Bush was the Captain of his Yale baseball team and twice played in the college world series.
Reagan played a war hero. George Bush was an actual war hero.
Reagan was presented as being a good solid family man. But George Bush married his High School sweetheart and they are still married and have a warm cohesive and loving family.
Great program. You will love it!
