I don't think that much fighting has been going on since about the 20th century or so.
What the Europeans and US did was much closer to genocide than terrorism. Terrorism would be an understatement as far as describing what happened in the formative years of the US and European colonization.

How true do you believe this to be? | Here in SD I see that t-shirt quite often.
It's a representation of their victim mentality and isn't to be honored.
Edit:
And I would like to point out that is was the Spanish, not da'white-devil, who exploited the native people in 1942. |

It was the US military that exploited the native people in 1942.
I believe what Galen was trying to say is that the Spanish are also "da' white-devil."

Current Mood: | Re: American Terrorist T-shirt I was just wondering what qualifies people as "owning" land. Last time I checked there was no higher authority who distributes land and handles its transactions. So just because a group of people live somewhere for awhile does that mean it is their land? I believe the concept that any person "owns" a portion of the earth is ridiculous. You may live in an area but no one surely owns the area for eternity. |

Look, no race is innocent in this, we've (collective "we" referring to race) all thrown mud, we've all don some really bad sh!t. The sooner we start thinking of things in terms of winners and learners, and not winners and losers’, own our sh!t and learn from it, the sooner we can get out of the past and start doing things right from this point forward. |
