Well on monday night the parking lot is full. I luck out and pull in right as someone is leaving, and get a spot while others circle the parking lot like sharks.
I scan in, and go to the locker room, get changed, and go out and get warmed up.
Now I don't know what kind of rules this place has, but I think there needs to be a rule against kids under the age of 14 being on the gym floor, and kids under the age of 16 using the free weights. Although I consider it a good thing these young kids are interested in their fitness and health, they need to either get the **** up to speed on gym ettiquette or get the hell off the floor.
3 kids in particular were****ing up everything for me and others. Monday night is my night to work chest and back. I wanted to hit the flat bech press, and they are all full. One guy pushing up massive amounts of weight, so i don't want to work in with him and pull half the weights off every time we switch. And the other open flat bench had 3 kids, probably 12-14 years old. No problem I say, i'll hit my back first and then get a bench afterwards. So I do my back excersises and the kids aren't even benching, they are sitting there talking and every now and then one would struggle to put up the 85lbs they were benching.
So I finish my back, and by this time someone else has replaced the other guy on the bench. I figure these kids have got to be done soon, so I go grab some ab excersises. I come back and it finally looks like they are going to leave. Well me and another guy show up at the bench as they leave, and we agree to work in together. When I look down at the bench, the head spot is covered in sweat. The little pimple faced bastards didn't bother to even wipe down the euipment they just spent the last 15-20 minutes on. I wipe it down, and commence to getting on with my bench press.
After I finish it, I want to go back to my back and do lat pull downs. Guess whos at the lat pulldown machine? Thats right, the three little pricks. Again, gabbing and not doing much in the way of weightlifting. Deciding against waiting, I figured I would instead go to the T-Bar row and what do they do, they jump off the lat pull down and go to the T-Bar row, again without wiping down the equipment they just used.
A very frustrating night. Parents, if your kids go to a gym, make sure your kids know their way around a gym so they don't get in the way. A gym is not a place to sit and bull****. | come to my gym, it's so un-kiddy that we're only allowed to use the steam room with an attendant present because guys kept ****ing each other in there. absolutly no 14 year olds to be found.

I take it thats municipal or city parking, and not a gym owned parking lot? |

It's actually an incredibly nice gym with ultramodern equipment and a fantastic view. |

Men, treat lockers like urinals(don't pee in them, just follow me here for a second). If there is the ability to choose a locker that is not immediately next to someone else, then excersise the responsibility of taking a locker further away, so as to create some space. There is nothing more annoying than having a row of 20 lockers without locks and 1 locker with a lock(mine), and when I come back from working out, some guy happens to be using a locker right next to mine when there are plenty of other open lockers to choose from. Well actually there is one thing that is more annoying than that. When some guy takes the middle stall of a 3 stall urinal system, forcing you to have to uneccessarily pee next to him.
Get this memo out ot your fellow gym rats...... |

Get this memo out ot your fellow gym rats...... | I notice this same stuff at the movie theater. People will sit right in front or behind you when they don't have to. Quit kicking my seat.

T his one isn’t a grip, it just makes me smile before I go into a gym, at least it did when I belonged to a commercial gym/24,people circling the parking lot looking for the closest parking spot so they can go get on a treadmill and do ten miles, fifteen miles. |

Get this memo out ot your fellow gym rats...... | I don't get the whole using the urinal next to mine thing. Seriously, that should be a man law if it isn't already. If there's a whole line of unused urinals and you use the one next to mine... you should get shoved in the back once your stream starts...
Man law?

Man law? | Well there are a few things that should be unwritten man laws in regard to urinals.
1. If it is at all possible, you never use a urinal stall immediately next to another man. If there is the ability to be seperated by an empty urinal, then excersise that ability. The further away, the better.
2. If there are only 3 urinals present, and you are the only one in there, never take the middle one. Someone else may come in behind you, and if you are in the middle urinal, you have just uneccessarily forced him to pee next to you. Shame on you for ignoring the logistics that apply to urinal seperation theory. |
