Her Health Plan Was $257 a Month. Now Her Obamacare Plan Could Be $650 a Month.

Ok i can understand that and i agree. Paying taxes on health insurance is a horrible idea imo.

Yes it is, and particularly when some people pay taxes on it, and some don't.

Our entire system is dsyfunctional and really needs to restructered from the ground up. I will stop short of going into the details because its probably more of something belonging in a thread of its own

It certainly has contributed to price increases. Here's the thing though, Obama told the American people it would reduce our premiums by $2,500. What happened to that?

It was another political lie!

Nothing new. Politicians, by trade, are professional liars.

A few years after ACA was passed, my payments approximately doubled, and they are taking steep increases each year.

What Obama said:

"I will sign a universal health care bill into law by the end of my first term as president that will cover every American and cut the cost of a typical family's premium by up to $2,500 a year."

Which, I'm sure, he would have had Congress sent him such a bill. Unfortunately, campaign promises are dependent on the Congress. Sometimes, they just can't be fulfilled.

So, why do candidates make promises that they know they might not be able to keep?

So people will vote for them, of course.

and they know the voters have short memories.

Yeppers...

Why don't voters see the lies?

This is why democracies fail. This is why our nation is on a spiral downhill. The people, as a whole, are too stupid to vote wisely. We keep putting the same self centered thieves in congress.

Probably because the other candidates are also making promises that they know they can't keep without the cooperation of Congress.

Agreed.
And, until something substantial is done to curb costs, you'll continue to pay more for less.

Except costs keep going down.

Medicaid is not the only area in which physicians will see reimbursement shrink. Several Medicare cost and quality measurements and mandates, courtesy of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), that will likely reduce payments will kick in this year.

It's something that worries the American Medical Association (AMA). In a statement issued back in October, the AMA warned the CMS about the "regulatory tsunami" facing US physicians that could cut Medicare payments by more than 13% by the end of the decade.
