Thanks for the bill, Medicare.

I understand and I have insurance to cover that 20%. My problem is the part of the bill that nobody will pay labelled as being there because of federal sequestration. It isn't a big deal. It is the idea of billing the public for sequestration that bothers me.
So then your problem is with the politicians that have been elected to Congress. Will you be voting against your incumbents in the primaries/general elections?

I won't be voting at all. But back when I did vote I always voted against incumbents. I wish everybody would.

If its Hillary and Trump I aint voting either, I will just stay home and drink bourbon.

My oncologist ordered an MRI which was completed earlier this month. The bill arrived and Medicare paid part of the bill leaving the rest to me. The reason? CO253 - sequestration, reduced government spending. The government can borrow millions per minute to fund what it likes to fund but won't pay a bill they agreed to pay by law? Instead a citizen as to pay part of the bill? I can't help but think they are simply putting teeth into their complaints about sequestration in the hopes that budgets will rise. What a mess.

I recently has a MRI and the cost to me was $2.87..............but then I live in another country called Florida where the rules aren't the same as in the USA

The $2.87 is what I have been talking about. Check your bill. It should be labeled as sequestration. The government billed you a little, not because it mattered to the federal budget but because they are trying to make a statement about sequestration.

Welcome to the wonders of the so-called "affordable care act." LOL Or, in other words - bend over.

President Obama issued a sequestration order on March 1, 2013, canceling budgetary resources across the Federal Government. As a result, Medicare Fee-For-Service claims, with dates of service or dates of discharge on or after April 1, 2013, incur a two percent reduction in Medicare payment. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid services (CMS) previously assigned CARC 223 (Adjustment code for mandated Federal, State or Local law/regulation that is not already covered
by another code and is mandated before a new code can be created) to explain the adjustment in payment.

No, you didn't pay for what you're getting and you think you're entitled to even more

Yes, I do. They are called entitlements, after all. I'd believe I'd like an MRI just to have one. It's been a while and I'm feeling a little MRI deficient. And at least a couple of those machines that go BING! at the right times around the house, too. It's comforting.

I have to give you credit - you're the only rightwinger I've seen who acknowledges their entitlement mentality

I'd like one of those machines with the electric paddles they use to restart a stopped heart - for guests who overstay their welcome

I can't speak for others, but me - I'm special.

Check with your preferred provider. Or, you can show your guests open buckets of carbon and graphite and tell them it's black powder for the pipe bombs.

I did and all he gave me was a weak-ass TENS machine

Damn you, Obama!!

Gives Special Forces a whole new meaning, doesn't it?

Damn straight. Demand at least an ELEVENS machine - or maybe at least a new car battery and a bucket for the water.

Thank you for the clarity you have brought to the conversation
