So, I get a letter from my insurance company today, the medication me and my doctor decided I should be taking has been rejected by the "prior authorization" process, they continue that I am free to use this OTHER medicine even though me and my doctor decided that medicine did not work as well.

Of course the letter continues, I may choose to buy this out of pocket if I so choose which now costs $650 per month.

Under my old plan, it was the doctor who decided, not a "prior authorization" specialist and all my prescriptions were $15 bucks.

Now I can clearly afford the $650 per month, but I am sure there are many who couldn't and would be forced to use the inferior product because the company they are paying tens of thousands of dollars to a year for health coverage can say no to actually covering you.

VIVA Obamacare!

You can't expect everything for $650 a month. Now, can you?!

ButI am happy to hear that you can afford $650 a month. That way you are insured and Obama kept his promise.

I just drive to Mexico to get the meds that are too expensive.

don't trust them. I pay a lot of money for insurance, yet when I should go to mexico?

Convenience for me, all my meds are really cheap, but if I want other things, I pop down to Mexico. I am very lucky to have an employer that pays for my medical and dental with a $400 deductible.

Wasn't always that way though, I feel your pain.

I went over to Holland. In Germany a medicine I took was Euros 189 plus Euros 14 for the prescription. in Holland it was Euros 17,50 and the second time I bought it 10,50 plus prescription fee. Here in Spain it is Euros 46 without a prescription. It is odd.

Brilliant plan. Is that part of Obamacare?

No, but you can get all the meds you need down there for cheap, even if you have a good plan from your company.

No pain really, I can clearly afford it. It's the obnoxiousness of how obamacare puts the decision into the insurance provider over my doctor. And I get the honor of paying more for this ****.

You get the same thing with corporate plans. I had meds that my insurance provider wouldn't allow, its how the insurance companies work.

Yes, but think of all the lazy ****s who now get free meds thanks to your largess.

Then what's the point of Obamacare?

not the plan I had. the dr's have far less discretion under obamacare.

My employees plans went up as well, I'm sure they are having similar issues.

I used to administer benefits for a couple of small companies that had low paid unskilled labor, the prices always went up 10% or so each year, and I couldn't get the companies to chip in more. Glad to be out of that gig.
