    AZ posts cost of OBAMACARE................

Averages for Bronze to Platinum plans.

    Aetna $240

    Blue cross/shield $264

    Cigna $314

    Health net $240

    Meritus PPO $334

And you payments are capped at 2 or 4% OF your pay..............so no matter what they are, its AFFORDABLE!!!

Screw you GOP...........be glad your "insurnace" still exists. Hopefully it will soon be banned.

    Figure you costs here.

And remember, the "tax credit" is paid directly to the insurer, and immediatly. So you dont have to pay all that cash up front like
    most "tax credits".

1st, is that 2-4% of your pay monthly? Or annual?

2nd, your link will not represent AZ directly so is worthless for this thread.

    One more thing....

I will not be coerced into getting insurance that I do not want and will take MORE money from my pocket that I cannot afford. On our last check (on the 10th and 11th respectively) put roughly $1100 in our bank account. Today we have $24. We cannot afford ANY health insurance unless it is free. And combined we make too much for that.

Oh happy day! The "preventive care" visits that normally cost $100 out of pocket a few times a year are now going to cost several hundred dollars per month (also out of pocket), every month, in perpetuity. Good going democrats. Thanks for making insurance companies richer at my expense.

Your premium will be $104 month. (silver plan) Looks like you need to get rid of some bills. Tell you Land lord t o take "x" or your leaving.........
    based on........
    2 people ("our" you said)
    no kids
    35
    non smokers.

    And LOOK AT THIS............

"For example, you could enroll in a Bronze plan for about $0 per year (which is 0% of your household income). By enrolling in a Bronze plan, you would receive $6,114 in subsidies, which would cover the entire amount of your Bronze premium. "

Looks like OBAMACARE is your friend............

Re: AZ posts cost of OBAMACARE................

I ran the model in thehOP's link. me and my wife, I selected the no employer just to see what it would calculate.

    what it calculated was:
Because your income is more than 4 times the poverty level, you would not qualify for subsidized exchange coverage. The information below is about unsubsidized exchange coverage.

Unsubsidized annual health insurance premium in 2014: $17,342

I am glad I have health insurance with my retirement. We do pay about $250/month insurance payment. Even with copays and out of pocket max to be met. It is far cheaper than the 17,342 that the Obamacare estimator said it would cost.

    No thanks Obamacare.

LMAO yeah...tell my landlord that huh? Like it is SOOOOO easy to just pick up and move to another rental right? Not to mention people have far more bills than simply rent.

When I said "our" I was refering to my wifes checks and my checks. That particular "our" did not include the whole household.

Me and you have been over this already. Your link does NOT include every single state as each and all states subsidies offered will vary. And then there is this...from your link...

Additionally, states have the option to expand their Medicaid programs to cover all people making up to 138% of the federal poverty level (which is about $33,000 for a family of four). In states that opt out of expanding Medicaid, some people making below this amount will still be eligible for Medicaid, some will be eligible for subsidized coverage through Marketplaces, and others will not be eligible for subsidies.
Note the words "some" and "others will not be eligible". Despite what you may think not everyone will have health insurance due to Obamacare.

There is something you should think about also. A subsidy is worthless until tax season when the common person will receive it. In otherwords a subsidy will not help ANYONE until it is recieved. Until they do receive it then paying for that insurance has to come directly from that persons pocket. A fat lot of good that is going to do them when they get behind on their bills. By the time they do get the subsidy they'll have to use that same subsidy just to catch up on their bills just so that they won't get kicked out into the streets. And then because of that the whole process happens again. Year after year. And this is assuming that you get enough of a subsidy to pay for your entire monthly health insurance bill. Which comparitively speaking will happen to a minority of people. Most people will not get that much of a subsidy. And those people will be in a growing hole that they cannot get out of.

Not in this case. These are advanceable tax credits, meaning they're available upfront to offset the costs of the insurance policy at the time of purchase.
