274ina is able to afford an RV, so he is rich. I can't afford an RV.

you are assuming it's one of those RVs that was paid for....paying for **** they have isn't exactly a high priority with some.. hell, for some,NOT paying for **** they have is the highest priority.

So $75,000/year is rich, and $365, 000, 000/year is mega rich?

I agree that $365, 000, 000/year is mega rich, but where do you live that you think $75, 000/year is rich?

274ina once posted that he was homeless...... does that explain anything?

...
And you payments are capped at 2 or 4% OF your pay..............so no matter what they are, its AFFORDABLE!!!

Figure you costs here.

Subsidy Calculator | The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation

So I went to the link you provided. Included a family of 4 (2 adult/2 kids) 30yo, with an annual income of $60K, non-smoker. This was the result:
OBAMACARE TEST CALC.jpg

The results indicate 'Maximum % of income you have to pay for the non-tobacco premium, if eligible for a subsidy:' is 8.19%...considering this how does the link support your 'payments are capped at 2 or 4% OF your pay' claim?

You're forgetting, $60k/year is rich, so screw 'em.

Naw, assuming I interpreted 274 correctly, $60k GETS a subsidy ergo they are not 'rich'...but they still pay ~8% of their income.

They are more than 400% over the poverty line, so I don't believe they get the subsidy.

Please refer to post #30 for the specifics. Per the link in the OP they are ~255% AND the 'output' indicated they WERE eligible for a subsidy...?

Pardon, 65,000/2 adults puts them over the subsidy line. No assistance over 400% of poverty....

You are on the upper scale of people incomes. MOST people are 2% (non-expansion states) or 4% (typical new low wage job) of pay.

its a sliding scale from 4 to 8% of your pay depending on income.

Considering the loss of good jobs for 40 years, be glad you still got one.

One more thing....

I will not be coerced into getting insurance that I do not want and will take MORE money from my pocket that I cannot afford. On our last check (on the 10th and 11th respectively) put roughly $1100 in our bank account. Today we have $24. We cannot afford ANY health insurance unless it is free. And combined we make too much for that.

Do you have auto insurance?

2 adults AND 2 kids..............=255% of poverty, i double checked is his numbers.

I don't even know where to begin.

Averages for Bronze to Platinum plans.

Aetna $240

Blue cross/shield $264

Cigna $314

Health net $240

Meritus PPO $334

Screw you GOP...........be glad your "insurnace" still exists. Hopefully it will soon be banned.

Figure you costs here.

And remember, the "tax credit" is paid directly to the insurer, and immediatly. So you dont have to pay all that cash up front like
most "tax credits".

How fair it must seem to all you liberals and obama kool-aid drinkers to know that congress and the president do not have to worry about all this math. they are exempt. Great eh??? next will be hepatitis clauses for tattoo's... whether you have them or not.

OH, I see...so when you said:

"And you payments are capped at 2 or 4% OF your pay"

...in the OP you were being honest??? OR being just like the GOP who you denigrate for lying about PPACA...further you would agree that ~8% of ones income is pretty significant...?

BTW, I don't have a job...retired at 49...

What does auto insurance have to do with Obamacare? What auto insurance are we required to purchase simply for the privelidge of breathing air?

I'm pretty sure you are required to have auto insurance in every state

My friends wife doesn't have auto insurance. And she is not required to get it either. (She doesn't drive)
