Now this is good news for a change...I didnt think they were even close to something like this yet


Federal drug regulators on Tuesday affirmed landmark study results showing that a popular HIV-fighting pill can also help healthy people avoid contracting the virus that causes AIDS in the first place. While the pill appears safe and effective for prevention, scientists stressed that it only works when taken on a daily basis.

i fear that folks will use this rather than condoms.

That's a shame.

I doubt anyone would use this drug as an alternative to a $15 box of condoms. When percentage of Americans with HIV is around .25% it would be reasonable to say that the drug likely will come at a hefty cost and of course be prescription anyways.
