I am exasperated with all of the mass shootings. We have entirely too many guns in this country and something needs to be done now! You people that think the right to own 20 guns and 10 tons of ammunition, what do you want done about this? It's time to start talking about reducing gun violence and not talking about "freedumb".

We have more pressing problems than guns.

True. I have over thirty guns here. None of 'em do a damn thing. Make ya wonder why intent is such a big deal when it comes to crime. Near as I can tell, none of them guns intend to do a damn thing. It's downright depressing. They're just like my dinnerware...

Not before the election when GOPosters defended McConnell's refusal to give Garland a hearing and a vote based on the 2nd amendment.

Not to mention all of the Appeals and District Justices that McConnell has stalled the last two years.

Now McConnell says America won't stand for the same behavior from the DEMs ..

The NRA was very effective in helping swing-state incumbent GOP Senators gain reelection.

And those senators had coattails that helped drag trump across the finish line .

It isn't a gun problem its a people problem...
Human beings suck.
Period.

What gun problem? I mean other than criminal or the mentally unstable obtaining guns illegally.

Has there actually been a case where a legal gun owner has gone on a shooting spree? I can't think of a single case, but I don't know everything.

There is no "gun" problem.

There is only a problem with individuals who misuse or abuse access to this tool.

Might as well say, oh...we have a "hammer" problem because some people accidentally mash thumbs and other people use them to mash heads.

It's time to start talking about reducing gun violence and not talking about "freedumb".

Sorry, but absent a personal ability to insure (or at least try to do so) personal freedom with access to the tools allowing one the capability to rebel; there is no freedom. Only submission to those who have that power.

I don't doubt it at all. The NRA is well funded.

The most brilliant political gamble of the century if you ask me

So can you start with some ideas? Like how many guns should I be allowed to own? I have 7 now, so what's my limit?

What do you want to do? Confiscate alll the guns?

Good luck with that dude.

People that own a personal arsenal aren't the ones shooting other people.

The biggest gun problem I have is my . 40sw Walther PPQ doesn't like reloads or Winchester White Box ammo. The 9mm version I have will take anything you put in it. I hope that with some special one on one time I can sweet talk the .40 into not being so picky. That would make the world a better place and my home safer

How do you exactly intend to confiscate guns? With government? And how might the government go about doing that? With guns?

Right so confiscate guns with guns so that only our government has guns. I'd show you a historical precedent for why this is such a bad idea but I'm going to assume you've made it past a middle school history class.

How about stop putting **** ammo in your .40? Would you rather get hit with a 9mm pansy ass piece of **** or a .40? I'd rather get hit with a 9mm piece of ****. A 9mm sissy ****ing round won't even spin a plate on the range. A 9mm is for ******s and bitches.

Stop putting bull**** ammo into your .40 and then blaming it on the pistol.

like anti gun hysterics who want to erode our constitutional rights because they don't like gun owners' politics

gun violence is going down. and you are right-there are more pressing problems

good, that means the courts in the next few years might actually respect the second amendment

true, the people who own lots of guns (me included) tend to be affluent. affluent people aren't the ones involved in violent crime. The problem is, the OP is not anti gun, he's hateful of the politics of those of us who prioritize gun rights issues because candidates who tend to support gun rights aren't usually "progressives"

40 caliber rounds shot out of certain guns-the GLOCK 22 especially, tend to get a bulge at the end of the case (down by the primer). when you reload them with conventional dies, that bulge still exists and often won't allow the reloads to function properly. I don't know the reason for white box winchester which normally works pretty well in most guns. When I reload range brass 40s for my son's STI 1911 (which has a full supported barrel which prevents the bulging) I use what is called a "push through die which eliminates the bulge

A most awesome rant bro. Preach it. :blastem: :applaud

You really believe that crap? modern 9mm ammo is just as reliable for self defense as forty. and as a guy who is in the 500,000+ round club I can tell you that lots of people who thought 40 was the cat's meow for self defense rounds are rethinking that given the wear and tear 40 causes on both the handguns and elbows of shooters. a 45 ACP easier on both bTW. There is a reason why the FBI has gone back the the 9mm.

Two posts. 5 or 6 different subjects. Not a word concerning the alleged crime/murder problem addressed in the OP. Not even a mention of guns, the secondary point.

Sometimes, it's about what it's about.

I think there have been a couple. Cho at Va Tech purchased his guns at a Roanoke store 1 gun at a time while Wilder's 1 gun a month law was in effect. I believe that the Aurora shooter used guns he legally owned.

Cho is interesting since it shows the futility of coming at the problem from the perspective of banning guns. It's a people problem, and as long as you have people you have a people problem.
