The Gun ban movement and its Hollywood Allies assumed Hillary was going to win.

Anyone remember "The Right of the People" from the '80s?

It was obviously designed to give the clinton gun ban agenda a big push. That was why it was timed to be released right after what the hollywood bannerrhoid types figured would be the election of the lying bitch.

what is hilarious is that the original planned gun ban film is being done by a guy whose other works have a body count and gratuitous violence rating that makes Braveheart look like a G rated film. These turds are modern day Leni Riefenstahls

No doubt few will realise the amount of planning and preparation gun control puts into events that could possibly lead to success. Try often enough and with a totally flaccid opposition you have to get lucky some time.
 
I like to watch Hawaii Five 0 for the scenery shots...all the while watching the violation of civil rights , ridiculous shootouts and anti-gun messages. About 3 or 4 weeks ago, they had an episode that should have had a disclaimer of "this is an 80% anti-gun episode". A lying hit piece toward guns and gun owners. I quit watching the show and emailed CBS to verbalize my distaste. I know, it's useless.....but I gave them hell anyway.

One of the things Glenn Beck preaches in his radio show is to get into the culture to promote conservative ideas in order to combat liberal crap like this.Because its the TV shows and movies that libs will use to brainwash the masses.

yeah, Its amazing how many people I know actually remember the scene from RED DAWN where the Cuban general told his minions to collect the 4473s from gun stores to round up firearms.
 
When this whole thing gets goin, the will of the people is going to control it. That's we got out of Vietnam and won the right to organize and Roe v Wade, stuff like that.

Firearm organisations have no comprehension of that, They arrogantly think they can do it on their own by paying lawyers. It's what I call the clean hands approach so they have deniability. We are good boys and girls and support government the lawyers said we must do it. We are on your side, can we keep our guns?

Absolutely correct. Firearm owners cannot expect to win the fight without massive public support.

The public are not going to support firearm owners because they have done skills training, know how to handle firearms or are supposedly safe. That rules out everything they have done to date and avoided the issue of public safety.

Until the public raises its voice in objection firearm owners will lose to gun control.

why don't you tell us how to get the public who do not own guns to be part of that voice. I do what I can. there are at least 20 good people in Ohio who are gun owners because of me. and they all voted against hillary

sorry Jet, supporting the second amendment and opposing idiotic proposed laws such as the crap imposed on the sheeple in California is not Radical. Most americans believe that the second amendment guarantees individuals the RKBA. the radicals are people like you who think congress should be able to ban every gun it can get the votes to ban.

Which is exactly what I said. It will take a complete turn around of policy for firearm owners who at this moment do more to drive the public away than encourage public support.

Quite true but that is not the point. It is not going to win any public support by standing on laws and rights. The public as I repeatedly say does not give a rats rear end for others rights. They care only about themselves and their safety is right there at the top of that list

OK here goes again.

Forget everything you know about winning or fighting for our rights. It's wrong proven thousands of times wrong.

First of all figure if firearm owners have something to be proud of or are they ashamed to be owners or supporters?

If the are ashamed, best fix that real soon and quickly with correct education and example.

What have they to be proud of? They are by far the least likely to commit crime.

How does that work in our favour and get public attention? It should not be a question a it is obvious, citizens the public and deluded firearm owners want to be safe, Who is the safest group of people?

How does this safety work in citizens favour.

Umbrella effect, prevention of crime as a danger and threat to completion of crime and a psychological barrier to criminals attacking citizens, ie confrontational crime.

In a nut shell. No pun intended.

Our image stinks fix it. The public needs to know they are better off with firearm ownership than without and this presents far more safety to them than relying on the police and government.

That is how easy this is. Perhaps to easy but tossed because it is totally different to conventional thinking.

I will repeat we cannot win without public support best we work on gaining that support before gun control completely radicalises the public

The worst thing we can do is fuel gun controls propaganda by mentioning more guns, unceasing owners unless in a public positive way or saying buzz off we are protected by the constitution.

Our PRO needs work, lots of it.

First well done.

I beg to differ. Every letter of complaint to a network or printed media is calculated on some level that represents the public's willingness to write and complain. It takes into account those who will bitch to all their friends and not write.

This is a very valuable tool for firearm owners to use and an organised group of only a few can literally shut down gun control using the media or any one in specific.

I was witness to this in another country where a group of 20 or so guys read reported and countered every single gun control publication to the point gun control virtually stopped using the media. All that did was give those 20 firearm owners an excuse to write letters. The more letters there are the less chance they will be ignored. The state TV broadcaster calculated that each letter was equivalent to 5,000 people.

Publicity is the name of the game when you remember that for any newspaper the letters section is the most well read. Complaints are a valuable tool in creating or fixing public perceptions.

It is not useless and never ever will be.

except your arguments are as follows

1) gun owners have to accept all sorts of idiotic, unconstitutional, restrictions in order to appease the bannerrhoid movement

you are wrong.

2) the BM will not give gun owners any credit for compromising but will instead demand even more restrictions-just like the case in California

3) I don't agree with Crimefree's interpretation that gun owners drive people away. Rather its a leftwing media and politician cooperative that does this and they aren't going to change no matter what Gun owners do-as long as gun owners and the NRA vote for the type of candidates the MSM and the Democrat party oppose, the demonization will continue.

4) in other words, as long as the Democrat party keeps pushing gun control as a way of pandering to some members of the public, the BM will keep demanding more restrictions in order to pander and because gun owners and our organizations will vote against the pimps who pander, the MSM will demonize us.
