What Gun Control Do You Repeal?

Automatic weapons are available to anyone (well in most states) who has a clean record and wants to bother getting a Class III and complying with the requirements.

Yeah, anyone who wants to pay a "poll tax" of $200 per weapon and who has the money or the legal savvy, if necessary, to set up a firearms trust to circumvent an overbearing local CLEO.

Think about having to "comply with those requirements" in order to exercise your right to free speech, or to vote.

Half this nation is up in arms at the "overwhelming burden" simply requiring photo ID places on a voter, but it's okay to make perfectly reasonable, mentally healthy, law abiding citizens jump through any manner of hoops to legally own a firearms that they're legally entitled to own?

Crazy.

Go Big Blue, and RIP Mr. Dillon.

yeah I own three 550s, a SD and two of the older 1050s. The 1050 primer systems suck so I hand prime the brass but for the most party I am happy with their stuff. My first 550-bought in 1986, has had over 100,000 rounds through it as has the big 1050 in nine

I've got a buddy with a few 650s and a 1050 that's set up strictly to process brass. I ain't rich like you guys. ;)

Rich is owning a CAMDEX machine

I have always said the 54R is the new 30/06.

my rifle loves the 180 grain stuff, but I may have to face the fact I will not be able to shoot centerfire again.

Time for a sell off.

Why?

Crazy is the liberal way of doing things. The mayor elect of Portland today affirmed that Portland would continue to be a sanctuary city.
He gave all the Lefty BS reasons.....about equality for the misfits. Of course, that only extends to Leftists. Gun owners can go to Hell, no equality for them.

Yep!

I have a 550 with adapters/dies for several calibers. Bought it in the early 80s when I was doing way too much on my RCBS Jr.

Two on Craigslist, selling at a bargain price...$50,000 for the pair.

that's a good deal if they are in vg shape

100,000? That's too much ammo for you. We have to use some common sense. ;)

most of its used up-between the three of us-in the summer we are going through 500 rounds of nine and 500 12G shells each week

I do not think they make a reloading press big enough for a .50 BMG.

Currently I reload 9 calibers

7.62x54R
.308/7.62NATO
.233/5.56NATO
45/70
38/357
44 SPL/44MAG
30-40 KRAG
45ACP
40S&W/10mm

and nothing I have will accommodate a die big enough for the .50 BMG.

They do. I have a friend that reloads his. I don't know where he got the dies or press at however.

I would be happy if they void all of the gun control XOs and rule that magazine restrictions are unconstitutional and make CCW nationwide for everyone that can legally own a weapon.

Nevada voted to expand background checks to look at gun transfers and sales between citizens. California banned the sales of large capacity magazines, require background checks on ammo sales and allow the state to seize all weapons of people convicted of a felony or a violent misdemeanor. CHECK THIS ONE OUT: Washington approved a measure to allow the courts to order a temporary seizure of guns from people who are judged to be "a threat"! Drop by drop will make an ocean.

I would repeal just about every federal law on the books, it's a state issue.

If you were to start to repeal gun control laws, what would you want to take away? Anything goes. You get the final say.

Any law restricting the ability to openly carry a pistol without a license

The Washington measure is not that bad, it requires a credible showing to a judge the person is a danger to themselves or others, how many times have we seen this script play out where some mass shooter had six red flags and the family wanted to stop him but had no tools?

You tell us, how many? This law is so open to abuse. It allows people with no mental health training to make mental health decisions.

No it permits one to petition a judge for a temporary order.

I can think of at least three

They said credible evidence has to be shown, that would require a doctor to examine them and make a report on the persons mental health. I see no problem with this IF there are strict guidelines governing such a court ruling. Subject to be reversed as soon as a doctor clears them. Why does this bother you, do you really want the guy that you know without a doubt is nut job to have a gun within easy reach?

I don't know that I can know without a doubt that someone is a nut job who is dangerous to others, and I don't trust other non-trained people to make that same decision. If someone is a nut job who shouldn't have a gun, they shouldn't have access to knives, hammers, gasoline or white rental trucks, either. What nut jobs shouldn't have access to is victims, and neither the California nor the Washington laws to anything to prevent murder. They do create the ability of the state to confiscate legally owned firearms because of alleged mental issues that are not confirmed by mental health professionals.
