TAMPA, Fla. - Police say a Florida man asking if a bulletproof vest "still worked" was fatally shot by his cousin.A Tampa police report says Joaquin Mendez, 23, put on the vest late Saturday and "wondered aloud whether it still worked."
Police say his cousin, Alexandro Garibaldi, 24, pulled out a gun and responded, "Let's see."
Officers found Mendez outside the house with a gunshot wound in his chest. Mendez died at a hospital.

What does this sentence actually mean? From the article: "Police say the vest was found inside the house with a gunshot." Does it mean that the vest was found because it ran away from the sound of a gunshot, or that a gunshot walked around inside the house and uncovered where the vest was hiding, or does it mean the both the reporter and the editor were drunk?
 
It means that the vest wouldn't be needed if the gun didn't exist...... Wait that's illogical....
