Rambo wannabes like this need to be given jail time

You know what police do when they have a hostage situation? They wait until they can get sharp shooters with a good shot to take them out. What they don't do is send a policeman into where the hostage is and go all Rambo.

What if this guy hadn't been able to draw his gun quickly enough and the clerk had had her throat slit? You don't test a hostage taker's willingness not to kill people.

I don't know anything about the people involved, but I have a strong suspicion this is a case of anger at seeing a white woman being in the clutches of a black man.

That's why you think the perpetrator was shot? Not because the he was threatening to kill her, but because he was a black guy (assuming this guy was)?

Things can always go wrong, but you don't just decide to do nothing because of it.

What if the cops waited another 10 minutes to enter the Pulse night club because they feared shooting innocents?
 
I have been in situations twice that were so threating I reached for my firearm. Both times all involved were white.

2) not wetting himself when confronted by an armed criminal. That accentuates the feelings of timidity and inadequacy in the gun hating eunuchs

Similar here - one Hispanic (in Houston at a gas station), and the others were Caucasians, one was a white female redneck trashy bitch that corned me in my own back yard. I've pulled a firearm to defend myself with the Hispanic, the female white trashy bitch, and one of the white guys when I was on the road working (all I had was my Ruger Mini-30 behind my truck seat that time but it did the job). The others were also white folks, but they left when they saw me reach for my firearm. I haven't had to fire or return fire in a civilian situation so far, and hope I never have to. However, I have no problem using my firearm as a deterrent to whomever feels they should use a firearm to make me do something or just plain threaten me like that female did.

This reminds me of an article I read over the last year. In New Jersey an armed robber was shot during his last attempt and his last words were "Wait, you're not supposed to have......".

If we really want to cut down on the violent gun culture we really need to send a message to people like this trying to take the law into their own hands and stop glorifying them. Who knows who this person could have hit trying to be like an action hero movie doing this.

It's frightening to think conceal carry permit holders are always wondering around with the possibility of having an OK-Corral style shootout. I bet the perpetrator was a person of color, too. This gun nut probably wouldn't be so eager to shoot a white guy.
