President Barack Obama said, "It's just not true. ...There have been more guns sold since I've been president than just about any time in U.S. history."
I think he's right.
It
is true that gun sales have gone through the roof since he's been President.
And the real reason for this staggering spike in gun sales has
nothing to do with him 'supporting gun owners rights'.
It has everything to do with an American population who is increasingly fearful of:
a. A power-hungry administration that continues to over-reach and operate with no regard for the will of the tax-payers
b. Unhinged mass shooters and radical Islamist jihadists
c. A dishonest Presidents and a feckless, useless US Congress whose immediate knee-jerk reaction to b. above is 'gun-control'
and
d. The same dishonest, corrupt President and a lawless US Department of Justice who seem hell-bent on destroying our southern border and inviting in millions of illegal aliens, thus destroying both our national sovereignty and our collective security.
Get it?
Mistrust of government and fear regarding personal safety and security (let alone the notion of an economic collapse, or at the least, egregious economic turmoil) causes people to collect guns and hoard ammunition.
It's perfectly understandable, and it's probably the number one reason that the likes of Obama, Holder, Lynch, and Valerie Jarrett have not over-reached even further than they already have.
A lot of angry tax-payers, pissed off at their elected/appointed 'leaders' is one thing.
The same number of angry tax-payers, armed to the teeth, is another.
You could make the argument that it's precisely what keeps them in check.
Is this a fair summary of the situation?
