Because unlike you I am not ruled by emotion. I do not allow emotion to cloud my judgement or thinking. I am logical to a fault and it is your false opinion I was attacking the messenger. I'll prove that and say OK quote the attack on the messenger. If you think my plagiarised example was an attack you no doubt think the original a wonderful expression. And that proves my point. Don't attack others unless..... The expression if you cannot take the heat say out the kitchen comes to mind.

I'm troubled by the kind of fool who uses such reports to forward their agenda or appease their fears. They are not nice people and do not deserve any sympathy.

Yeah, that's a pretty good description. Idiot OSHA laws however come about because of people getting injured that don't know what the hell they're doing. So rather than professional people, in the case of occupations, union workers having more control over conditions that actually create injuries, the government has been forced to step in and create rules that we all have to suffer with. It's the very same thing in gun control.

The funny thing is, anyone should see that the logical disconnect happened between use of a firearm and use of an explosive. The firearm, and the explosive did exactly what they were supposed to do, the Darwin Award candidate was a moron and he paid his consequence.

See, this is why no one has respect for the anti-gun movement outside of the anti-gun movement. You post a bunch of bull****, much like this, and you take snide positions. You don't respect the right so let's get that out of the way, even if you think you aren't anti-gun you are unwilling to accept the consequences of freedom, that makes you anti. You as well backtrack when your position gets mocked and ultimately destroyed by facts, like the inconvenient fact that the explosive is what took the man's leg, not the firearm. This type of idiot would have been injured at some point in time by some stupid move and it could have involved anything from a bathtub to a blender. You don't get to decide who gets to take risks in a free society, and frankly, from your body of work on firearms you aren't qualified to make those judgement calls anyway.

Why arent you also posting articles when gun owners accidentally run over their neighbor's dogs with their cars?

Or when gun owners cheat on their taxes?

Or when gun owners do any of a million other things that non-gun owners do?

It seems to me, everyone has a right to be a fool. In the world you seem to be promoting, it is grounds for dismissal. That wouldn't leave very many people around, would it? Who gets to sit on the tribunal passing judgment?

Actually no its not your comparison is WRONG. The causes of accidents are addressed and where possible rules are created to provably reduce injury.

In the case of crime and violence it is absolutely impossible to decrease occurrence, inquiry or loss by addressing the phases of the moon or gun ownership.

Define idiot and describe the idiot detector you are going to use in your logical well thought out desires.

Define moron and explain how you will detect morons.

I see plenty of problems of idiots with any number of things not least of which are vehicles of any description, machinery, petrol matches, chainsaws, knives, swords, bows, pens, radio stations, TV, government, toxic chemicals, PCs, keyboards and ................................................................................

However being an intelligent person I know that

1) It is not possible to determine what anyone will do in the future
2) It is OPPRESSIVE to try and punish people becasue of what you think they will do
3) It is OPPRESSIVE to punish others becasue you have no idea who will commit such acts
4) It is OPPRESSIVE and against our legal system to accuse or punish on suspicion
5) It is OPPRESSIVE and against our legal system to PUNISH INNOCENT PEOPLE
6) It is INHUMAN to deny anyone the best means of self defence because of fear.

Which of these apply to you?

My position is anyone who provides an example of his/her irresponsible use of a gun should have a court hearing to determine if he/she should be barred from gun ownership..........And would be the decision of a court/jury in keeping with the yet to be written law

I'm sure you can agree with that............

Our founding fathers who wrote the constitution had other ideas on that.

Since you asked what is wrong with gun control, the answer is EVERYTHING. Gun control does not have any good points. Name one.

1) It is not possible to determine what anyone will do in the future

We have laws for that already. We do not need any more. We have all done stupid things in our lives.
