An open letter from a starchild moonbat about gun control

Enjoy...it must be nice to live in her world of rainbows & unicorns where no evil exists and you only live on moon beans and buttercups.

Oh, and ANYONE...I mean ANYONE who owns an AR is just waiting to " mow down school children and movie goers ".

Isn't it nice that life is so simple and uncomplicated.

TN Therapist's Open Letter to "Gun Advocates": Who Makes You God? - The Truth About Guns

You forgot alpacas that fart butterflies. She is a freaking loon. She sure has a problem understanding stuff. I bet she wouldn't want to understand if someone actually explained anything to her.

No, that part, I agree, wasn't appropriate. However I do think people who feel the need to walk around with giant weapons must have some sort of insecurity.

When was the last time you saw someone carry around a giant weapon?

You are a good guy who, I am sure, will never shoot anyone. But what about me? If I owned an automatic weapon, or five, and had a mental breakdown I would be able to go out and kill 50 people. I suggest I could not do this with a kitchen knife or even a car.
There aren't very many "automatic weapons" owned by private citizens in the US.
In the last 80 years, legally registered machine guns have accounted for TWO deaths.
Fully automatic guns in the US are highly regulated, and regulation works
As I am in Sweden I cannot acquire an AR. I do not see this as a deprivation nor does anyone else as far as I know.
Your Constitution and culture is different. I live in the mountains. We have bears, mountain lions, coyotes, moose and bobcats. I use my AR to shoot coyotes that decide that they don't need to avoid humans. When they lose their fear of people they can get dangerous. I almost always have a gun when I am outside. We also live in an area where people go to avoid the police. The local deputies strongly recommend that people carry a weapon as it can take them up to two hours to respond to our area.

Right now I'm in Switzerland, but when I visited family in Montana I saw 2 of these obnoxious pricks. Thankfully it is not common :D

Most people that see someone like that think the same as you did, whether they carry or not. I bet the drove huge trucks that they needed ladders to climb into also.

I live in a flatish area. We have bear, elk (what you call moose), lynx and wild boar - more dangerous than they sound - my brother-in-law shot one last night. But there is no avoiding the uniformed social workers that pass for police here in Sweden.

and yet as a therapist, she is SUPPOSED to be understanding of other people's problems.

Just a curious question. How many of the people that have commented here have been on the receiving end of a gun shot? How many of them have been the victim of violent crime.

I own guns, so don't accuse me of being a "moonbat" "asshat" as that will only prove the point that you are the type that probably should not have a gun. If you can't communicate anymore intelligently...

I know when I was comfortably sitting in on my couch watching TV and the bullets came through the house I would have loved to grab my gun and shot back. Would have loved to been able to show that gang member what accurate shooting looked like. If he knew what he was doing he would have hit the neighbor he was shooting at rather than my TV that was only a few feet from me.

I have been shot at...and not hit. I have also shot and hit.

You are 100% correct, it is a life changer. You never see things the same way again.

Churchhill even wrote about it...something about being shot at with no result giving one a very different outlook on life.

because of that, I refuse to hunt anymore. I know I could fight to defend my loved ones, but that is about it.

We have to notify the warden in the area if this happens also.
