Form 4473

Okie dokie. Why should I be scared, again?

I don't think you are scared. I think your position on guns is based on your perception of the politics of gun owners and more importantly pro gun groups

and this is coming from someone who is terrified of his neighbors and co-workers having the same firearms as the civilian police?

Boom!

I don't think you are scared.
Well you did say that I am someone who is "terrified of his neighbors and co-workers having the same firearms as the civilian police"

Well I am a gun owner....

and more importantly pro gun groups
The most politically powerful "pro-gun" group (the NRA) is pretty open about their politics, in which I disagree with a lot of them...

Its weird. You would think that a communist would want the "working people" to be armed so that they can absolutely destroy those "big corporate baddies and those urban non farmers!"

Evasion.

The point of the thread was to demonstrate that keeping a list only harms those of us who lawfully purchased guns. It is a tool for confiscation. Can you refute that?

It was just a hypothetical. Why not indulge it? Or do you know that youre wrong.

Besides, TD never said such things would happen, he's only speaking from the movie.

Of course, you'll just dodge him if you have no intelligent counter to what he has said.

That paranoia is just a hypothetical. An invading force would go house to house. That's the only way of making sure all guns are accounted for: the Germans did that - remember? "The gummit is going to come and take your guns away", that's the shtick. It's nonsense.

I know more than a few Brits, Kiwis and Aussies thought just as you did....until their gummit came and took their guns away.....and their gummit used a pretty big schtick to do so. Your meme/dogma is what is nonsense.

They didn't go against public sentiment; England has always been that way, and there was no invasion. So again, hyperbole at best. Our second amendment is still quite intact and doing very well thank you, and always will. It's part of our character. We don't need the gun nuts destroying everything we stand for like they have in Oregon and elsewhere...

what sort of guns-brands, model and caliber

why the dishonesty? you are on record wanting to ban "assault weapons" and normal capacity magazines

if the government was run by people like you, there is no doubt you'd try to confiscate such items from honest citizens

So did the gummit come and take their guns away or not? Were gun owners concerns prior to that occurring simply "shtick"? Hyperbole?
What exactly was hyperbole in my statement?

Your "examples" smack of totalitarianism and that was clearly not the case. Moreover, constitutions differ from country to country to country, and your hyperbole is that our government is panning to take our guns away.

If I'm wrong on any of these counts, then I'll ask you to please prove it.

It was more of a joke.. And I really havent been evading, see the debate earlier in which I have already gone back and forth with several users.

You are currently being harmed by a list? How so? When voting you are put on "a list" when registered to vote, I dont feel like I am "being harmed" by that list.

Did they resist?

I honestly don't know so I'm asking.

If the purpose of the 2A is to provide the people with a means of placing a check on government tyranny, and when the government becomes tyrannical the people fail to defend their rights, then it's essentially the same thing as the people never having been given the means to defend their rights in the first place.

Remington Model 1100, 12 gauge.

a good basic choice for a shotgun. I taught my son how to shoot skeet and clays with a 20G version with the "youth" stock. In college I shot with Winchester Super X which was the alternative to the 1100 for two reasons-the X didn't have that annoying O Ring that breaks at the worst moment and since winchester was a major sponsor of Yale's shooting team, I got one at a big discount. I prefer the Beretta and Remington Versamax autos to the 1100 but I do note that model has probably been used to win more skeet shoots than just about any brand

is yours a hunting or target set up

They had a choice. Go to jail or give up the firearms. Since their governments had enacted registration several years prior, there was really no question as to who had them legally. I had friends in the UK that swore they would never confiscate their shotguns or .22 rifles....

Both. Go pheasant and quail hunting 1-5 times a year (depending on the how the birds are for the year). My girlfriend and I like to go clay pigeon shooting out on her families land or down at a range. She doesnt like to hunt because she not much into the whole killing animal thing ( ).

screw choke or fixed? I cannot recall when SC became standard. those were rare when I first started shooting.

I think the more relevant concern is a growing class of parasites who will one day go nuts when their pimps in office can no longer give them enough to keep them happy
We are already seeing that play out in Greece, and the former Soviet Union.

If someone puts my name on a list of owners, they intend to use said list for one thing: confiscation. Why don't you advocate putting illegal owners on a ****ing list and leave us law abiding citizens alone?

Even in the move Red Dawn with Patrick Swayze, the Russian commander tells a subordinate to go to the sporting goods store and find the Forms 4473, in order to find out who has weapons.

Quite telling from a 1984 movie. The push for registration is alive and well.
Why bother, come to my neck of the woods and Everyone has a gun, I do not know of even one household that does not have several and I know all my neighbors. The GUBMENT is welcome to try and come and take them any time they are ready, we can then Get This Revolution started. Funny thing is even if they wanted to try they do not have the actual man power to accomplish it.

Sounds like an excellent plan, hope they remember to bring their body armor when trying to go into the crime ridden hoods to search the cribs and get those names:lamo
