God help us if this man gets elected.

okedoke. I use an M4 for hunting, and occasionally, I use my grenade launcher. For real big game, I use this here anti-aircraft gun. That's when I'm not using easily concealed handguns.

For hunting.

so much for his supporters saying he's not a hard core Banoid Nutcase

Like most left wing whack jobs, he's a gun banner

Yup... this is the main reason I don't vote Democrat at all any more, ever.

I used to vote for individual democrats fairly often, if I thought they were the person for the job. For a while, I even got to thinking the party had "seen the light" about gun control and wouldn't be pushing it any time soon.

Well Miss Nancy and company disabused me of that notion after Sandy Hook and that monstrosity of a so-called AWB that WOULD have passed if not for the Republican House.

For the foreseeable future, I will vote for NO Democrats at any level, and THIS sort of thing is the main reason why.

Oh and btw, even if he were elected, SAYING is one thing, DOING is another.

Yessir, no question about it, I'm holding my nose and voting straight Republican in this election and for the foreseeable future. Not because I love 'em, (I don't) but because of BS like this right here.

As pro-2nd amendment as Vermont is I would be surprised to see if he still have a job when his term expires. If you listen to these left wing loonies its not just semi-automatic firearms deemed to be assault weapons, its all semi-automatic firearms. They praised Australia and Great Britain for having common sense gun control, countries that banned semi-automatic firearms and confiscated them.

COOPER: Right. I mean, I ask the question because there's a lot of people out there who don't trust you, obviously, on the issue of guns. You keep saying you don't want to take away everybody's guns, but there's a lot of people out there tonight watching who don't believe you. There's a lot of people in this room who, frankly, don't believe you.

And it's not that you don't really have personal experience having owned a gun, but it's that things you said -- support for Australia's tough anti-gun policies. They banned semiautomatic assault rifles, they -- they banned even shotguns in Australia.

This is basically what the moderator asks Martin O'Malley.
Martha Raddatz:You talk about assault weapons.Even if you were to ban the purchase of assault weapons tomorrow. Americans own a estimated 7-10 million semi-automatic rifles. Would you make it illegal to own those weapon, force people to turn them in and if not how would banning the sales make a difference?

Nice to see Bernie is a fan of supporting hunting rifles.

Now...about that pesky 2nd Amendment........

It would take about 100 citizens posting two letters a week to newspapers, radio and TV to ensure he needs to move to another state to find work for the rest of his miserable life. That is what organising firearm owners could do. How easy is that?

I wonder what I could hunt with my olympic match pistols? I like sporting clays as well. I guess I could shoot some doves in the back yard to qualify. Politicians do say the silliest things during campaigns, particularly strange that Bernie comes from a state with no gun laws at all.

You would think a career politician would understand and respect the intention behind the second amendment.

Bernie was originally not so hard on gun control. It feels like he's resorting to a bit of dishonesty in order to one-up Hillary.

Pulling the Romney card eh Bernie?

Oh well, I hated him for his economic policies, not his gun control views.

You are making the assumption that the newspaper, radio and tv are not ran by anti-2nd amendment trash who would just simply throw those letters in the trash. If anything those newspapers, radio and tv would only post the letters by the anti-2nd amendment side praising Sanders for promoting "common sense" gun control.

They probably do understand the intention behind the 2nd amendment.Which is why they are trying to undermine and or ban it.

exactly: if you see the contortions, mutations and evasions the Bannite minions try to subject the 2nd Amendment to on this and other boards, its clear Bannites know the 2nd Amendment prevents the crap they try to peddle and that is why they try to change what the 2nd amendment means

and its why their contortions are so silly-as if the founders believed that the second amendment's prohibition on Federal action melted away after a citizen owns X amount of guns or his gun could hold X amount of rounds

I became a life member of the NRA in 2008 because Hillary was running for POTUS. Eight years of Bubba was more than enough.

The guy is a visionary leader. I think many many people could get behind this.

You might want to change your lean from slightly liberal if you feel that way.

I support well regulated gun ownership. However in the face of abject stupidity among "conservative and very conservative" posters here i have already changed from centrist to slightly liberal.

a visionary leader? I think Linda Kasabian said the same thing about Charlie Manson. Many of history's most whacked out nut jobs were called "visionary leaders"

Marshall Applewhite was also caused a visionary leader by his drink the koolaid cultists. Now I am not saying LoonyBernie is a mass murder but he sure has some really goofy ideas that would do to our economy what Marshall's schemes did to the Heaven Gate cultists

You have claimed you want to stigmatize legal gun owners and ownership and you call hunters murderers. Pardon me if I don't buy the BS you are currently spewing. You are a hard core gun banner

Guess I'll have to take up hunting. With handguns. I hear it's challenging.

And just completely ignore the actual intent of the 2A?

It had nothing to do with hunting.
