It is more likely that fewer people being polled are responding truthfully. I know if I were polled I would never admit to any weapons questions. I asked that very question of several of my co-workers when first confronted with recent polls, and the majority of those who had weapons stated that they would not admit to such questions.

I think this is a direct result of the demonization of gun ownership after all the media hype over recent mass shootings, rather than a true reflection of reduced gun ownership.

So you're an expert on guns therefor you're correct on any and all gun statistics and the causation behind all of them?

I'm not quite sure you are following the argument to a logical conclusion.

I may not be correct on all gun stats, but I am on most. I mean if obama gets most of it wrong, every time he opens his pie hole....and you believe all the malarky that he spews....I can understand your doubt.

The first thing one has to do is recognize the fact, that if a liberal's lips are moving, they are lying, misdirecting or obfuscating the truth on gun stats.

After having been involved with guns and gun stats and lobbying in D.C., Sacramento and Salem, for over 40 years and battling the BS of liberals all that time, I submit that I know a good deal about the topic.

If they truly would stop, drop their weapons and put their hands up.....cops and other citizens, would not have to shoot.

-First off, their voices are not heard because there are so few and people ignore their idiocy!

-Secondly, I'd venture to say that guns in homes are well over 50% because people who own them, will not tell the truth or ignore the survey. They have no idea what is in the homes of myself, family, friends and neighbors...NONE!
And you can extrapolate that out to the rest of the USA!

-Third, your sources are from liberal bastions of bull****! The NY Times and Washington Post are uber-liberal rags!

It's all over the country that more and more people are for background checks and restrictions. It's not a liberal conspiracy. You and about twelve other people on this board believe what you believe. The entire rest of the country has other opinions.

most people haven't the information to understand that UBGCs are neither constitutional on a federal level nor will do anything to stop criminals

people like you push them to get registration which you want to help facilitate confiscation
