NRA calls out Obama

I think the NRA has too much control over congress and state legislatures. That Republican politicians are more afraid of the NRA than they are of terrorists speaks volumes.

More Than 2,000 Terror Suspects Have Bought Guns Legally in U.S....

NRA, Republicans block proposed law to stop suspected terrorists from buying guns in U.S.

I'm a gun owner but I want nothing to do with the NRA

Oh geez...not the totally destroyed 'terrorist watch list' argument again...

3 year olds. 18 month olds. 8 years olds. Former senior senators from Massachusetts. 89 year old grandmas. Airline pilots. Congressman John Lewis.

1600 people a day are added to the list. Your name can appear on a group mailing connected to someone connected to someone else that MIGHT be a suspected terrorist and your name can go on the list.

Let it go...let it go...

Imagine that. A CEO that works for profits doesn't want regulation......Big gun corp. won't give him as much money if he doesn't say something.

It doesn't matter what Congress wants. It matters what We The People want.

The NRA and clown followers spooked gun owners into record level sales. They are going to try to do that again. It's good for profit.

In what delusional world did you find that? It was not the NRA that claimed to want to remove guns that sparked massive pre-ban sales. Who was it? Do you know?

Most people are getting sick of the NRA.

Do you mean the faithful gun control parrots that will repeat anything gun control tells them?

U.S. Senator Edward Kennedy (D, Mass.) After repeated delays at airport security, the senator had trouble getting removed from the airline watch list despite calls to Homeland Security and eventually a personal conversation with the Secretary of DHS. Nelson Mandela, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize and a household name all over the world, nonetheless is listed on the U.S. watchlist and needs special permission to enter the United States.

Yes, it was the NRA. It went from the gun manufacturers, to the NRA, to the Right Wing politicians and Right Wing media. Directly.

Do you mean the faithful gun control parrots that will repeat anything gun control tells them?

NRA follower calling the majority of Americans parrots. Sad but funny because of the irony.

Hey, owner wants to ban crackers. Repeat Polly, repeat.

Exactly what the NRA needed to do. It has one major fault. This is OUR fight the NRA is not OUR keeper or protector and the NRA needs to include us as the soldiers who protect OUR rights.

If gun control advocates can pound on the walls of government, get noticed and given recognition then why are we giving gun control advocates unopposed access to government by remaining silent? Screw them I do not want deluded sock puppets determining my future.

Actually not. More people are backing gun rights and the NRA than they were 10 years ago. It is more than half so the "most people" qualification is erroneous.

Recent polls show that most people, including gun owners favor back ground checks, too. Which means that most people, including gun owners don't favor the NRA.

Lets do the numbers....there's over fifty million gun owners in the US...but only about 3.1 million NRA members. The membership actually went down after Sandy Hook...

https://www.washingtonpost.com/blog...6047c10-7164-11e2-ac36-3d8d9dcaa2e2_blog.html

That means that that NRA members are a minority...and yet, they own most of the 300 million guns in this country. The number of people that own guns has remained relatively the same for the last thirty years.... but the number of NRA members is on the decline. The NRA is going down.

Not a NRA follower or member and not very fond of the stupid mistakes the NRA makes in leadership as can be found right here.

Claiming popularity of propaganda that does not reveal to the public its foul hidden oppression of innocents simply indicates the success of gun control propaganda. That success is the only result of firearm organisations sitting on their bum and not informing the members and public. Enjoy while it lasts you have a surprise coming.

The NRAs absolute idiotic handling of Sand Hook got punished. Well deserved punishment.

No, I mean that most people are sick and tired of the belligerent, arrogant, misinformed NRA talking points. The NRA minions need to get a new routine because that one is getting extremely noxious and moldy.

Another worthless link?
These are links that show some actual substance to the subject. The majority of people DO support gun rights.

Hey, check this one out. Pretty cool.
Does The NRA Make America Safer? - Rasmussen Reportsâ„¢
Most believe the gun policies of the National Rifle Association make this country safer, perhaps in part because Americans tend to think more gun control will only hurt law-abiding citizens.
The survey of 1,000 Adults was conducted on November 30-December 1, 2015 by the New York Daily News and Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
That one backfired on the New York Daily News. LOL

http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/21/politics/gun-control-poll-americans/
Nearly three weeks after the latest mass shooting claimed the lives of nine people, 52% of Americans now oppose stricter gun control laws, 6 percentage points more than the 46% of Americans who support such laws. That's a wider gap than in June when CNN last surveyed Americans on gun control, finding that the public was equally split at 49% on the issue.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/12/10/gun-rights-poll_n_6304740.html
For the first time in more than 20 years, Americans say it's more important to protect the right to own guns than it is to control gun ownership, according to a Pew Research poll released Wednesday that finds "a substantial shift in attitudes since shortly after the Newtown school shootings."
While 46 percent prioritize gun control, 52 percent of Americans are more concerned about the right to own guns, the first time a majority has held that position since Pew started asking the question in 1993. In a poll taken immediately after the December 2012 shootings, public opinion favored gun control by 7 points, 49 percent to 42 percent.

Yep. Sorry it's 2016 and you haven't figured out bias links will manipulate charts by using words such as "fairly". But no one accused you of being brainy.

There were a lot of problems with the no fly list when it was first implemented...agreed. But it's been in effect for over ten years now and we seldom hear about those kind of problems today. Got anymore recent examples?

I am with the camp that could care less what the NRA says. **** the NRA and the horse they rode in on. This is one gun owner they DON'T speak for. The NRA is just a shill for the gun industry these days catering to the inherent paranoia of their members, feeding the nutter's flame, to promote their master's revenue and bottom line.

I used to be a NRA member. Even had a bumper sticker. They promoted safety and education. Now they just promote fear mongering and gun industry profits.

All present company accepted. Hell, half of my bestest buddie's are NRA nutter's. I'm just sayin.................................:2wave:

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

Where did this gun manufacturer talking poit come from? The industry has their own lobby, the NSSF, the NRA is a membership of individual owners

Hide yo kids!

Meh who cares, those must be two thousand super lame terrorists since they haven't murdered anyone.

And does anyone ask how you know 2000 people on the watch list guns, or even if their legitimately on the watch list?

The terror watch list is exempt from public disclosure by federal law, and the federal government is not permitted to keep the background check information for more than 24 hours after the background check is been completed in less there's a legitimate investigation ongoing which, what also be exempt from public disclosure at best the 2000 people have bought guns figure is hearsay, worst fabricated

I'm going to say well said simply becase the NRA deserves the criticism. I think Sandy Hook brought that home to many who just felt wrong had been done.

Here is an organisation that should have as it's mandate and highest priority the rights of members that allow it to exist.

Gun control goes ballistic in opportunistic splattering of victims blood, Blatantly flouting all decency like the ghouls they and promising misfortune to all who do not heed their vision of death. Bombarding the media, TV, radio. and every newspaper and magazine like sharks in a feeding frenzy swimming in blood, the NRA takes a week to figure out how to make a profit, train school guards. Never mind the damage by giving gun control unopposed access to the media clamouring for news and sensationalism. The NRA completely ignores the fact gun control created these safe shooting galleries for nuts and the rights of parents and teachers to defend themselves and their children not even mentioned.

On every occasion the NRA has chosen two paths neither of them of any use to firearm owners or their rights. Sell more guns and the only visible opposition is using courts as a means to combat gun control.

The NRA foolishly believes
Government controlled courts will win
Lobbying and funding politicians can buy something, favours?
That firearm owners must just pay sit back and let the "experts" handle gun control.

These are just wrong on every level. This is a propaganda war not a bun fight. It has to be won if we are to remain free and safe. This war cannot be won in court or by trying to buy politicians. It can only be won with PUBLIC SUPPORT.

That's unfortunate. I guess we have Mr. Trump to thank for that....

"...There was no allegation Trump played a direct role in their case, but rather an implication that the atmosphere to which Trump has contributed, with his proposal to ban Muslims from entering the country, played a role in their exclusion, solely, Mahmood said, on the grounds of religion...."

That agency and the first examples you cited occurred under Bush. The last one you cited had Trump written all over it. lol

It's kind of curious that the guy would pick the US Disneyland to visit when British sentiment against Trump is at a screaming pitch. Why didn't he pick Paris Disneyland? Oh...nevermind. Ya know.....my parents never took me to Disneyland, either. boo hoo...it's all just looky loo, anyway.
