Because the 30-30 is a classic cartridge often put in beautiful classic weapons, and at one time was the premier deer cartridge for close, heavily wooded, suburban/exurban, or denser areas. If it was a Winchester 94 (rifleman), you were doubly stupid!
The 1911 is another classic gun, usually worth a lot of $$$, and is one amazing defense weapon, if you can handle it's heft. It's relatively light on recoil for such a large caliber, and delivers a slow but amazingly heavy projectile. If you want a stopper, this is the gun. The old .45 ACP axiom of "any body shot puts him down" has some merit. Nobody takes a hit from a 45 ACP, then flinches & runs away. The 1911 is beautiful, and has an illustrious military history.
I think I gave you good reasons!
Any questions?

Hey, is that some kind of an update of a Chief's special? Looks like a 5 shot cylinder.
I had J frames before and liked 'em, but always wanted a Chief's Special. Great little pocket guns.
