San Bernardino Shooter?s Friend Charged With Supporting Terror - WSJ

The criminal complaint against Enrique Marquez revealed new details of the federal investigation into the shooting, including evidence Mr. Marquez and Syed Rizwan Farook had earlier plotted to attack a California freeway and bomb a community college in 2011 and 2012.

Mr. Marquez, 24 years old, of Riverside, Calif., was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He was charged with conspiring to provide material support to terrorists, making a false statement in connection with the purchase of firearms, and entering into a “sham marriage” with a woman who was the sister of Mr. Farook’s brother’s wife, in order to allow the woman to legally reside in the U.S.

The terrorism charge carries a maximum sentence of 15 years, and the firearms violations and immigration-fraud charge each carry a maximum sentence of 10 years.

Hours after the attack, according to an FBI affidavit released in conjunction with the charges, Mr. Marquez made a call to 911 saying he wanted to kill himself as he knew Mr. Farook had used the weapons he bought to carry out the attack.

“They can trace all the guns back to me,’’ Mr. Marquez told the operator, according to a transcript of the call included in the FBI affidavit.

In addition to buying the rifles, Mr. Marquez bought material used to build an explosive device found at the scene of this month’s attack, federal officials said.

Well well well, so much for gun control laws, because they broke some important ones here, like making a straw purchase WHICH IS ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So someone broke the law to get these guns. I have an idea, why don't we pass a law against the "loophole" that would have stopped it. NOT!!

If only there were truth to that you'd have a tiny point maybe. Of course then there's the whole gun control part, which you can't argue against.

What is there to say? The vast majority of gun owners don't murder people, why should we punish all gun owners? Likewise, the vast majority of muslims are not terrorists, so why should we discriminate against the entire group?

Every single day in America there are Christians who rape, murder, lie and steal. The question comes down to: Do we hold the entire group responsible for the actions of the subset or do we hold individuals responsible for their own actions?

I am so glad they arrested him. They kept bringing him up on the news and it was clear he wasn't the nice former WalMart worker some people thought he was.

Friend or family, it is hard to stop anyone who truly wants to get a gun.

Lanza got his guns from his mom.

Farook and Malik from Marquez.

NOT only that but Marquez was here in the USA illegally -- or at any rate the Fed's intend to bring "immigration charges" against him as well.

This story keeps getting better and better.

In their first briefing the chief of police said they knew about him and he was under surveillance. So this is no big surprise.

What I wonder is whether Marquez is the missing 3rd shooter ??
 
Lucky for this guy since authorities allowed media in to terrorists apartment and go through all of their flaming Muslim terrorist stuff that they had lying around all over the place. You would think CIA would have been going through that stuff with a fine tooth comb to look for leads and stuff. What a stroke of luck that this guy popped up. And that they knew to look in that lake and stuff. What was in there again? A hard drive or something was it. Anyway lucky for this guy after the apartment was contaminated by media - and CIA seemed more interested in showing the terrorists belongings and the fact that they were flaming Muslim terrorists than actually looking through all that evidence. Or maybe they did and put it all back for media to look at and show us.

Do you guys think that thew San Bernidino terrorists had syphilis? And that they contracted it on purpose? I guess we will never know. Hey maybe their friend knows if they had syphilis or not.

Well Marquez better plead insanity like Holmes did fast if he WAS the 3rd shooter.

The 3rd shooter apparently disappeared into thin air.

And Marquez suddenly appeared out of nowhere at the state mental hospital.

Those are interesting coincidences.

Trump is going to have a field day with this -- Islamic terrorists AND an illegal Mexican.

Actually, in the present edition of Foreign Affairs there was a very good article on the pathway most of the present terrorists seem to take and what might be the mechanisms. It seems that the driving force might be in the rise of relative values and the decline of moral certainty our societies have produced. This does not mean that there is no incidence of imported terrorists, as we saw the other day, when a young asylum seekinf refugee from Syria was arrested for planing a large hit in Dortmund.
