Senate Republicans vote down legislation that would block suspected terrorists...

I may not love any I may have, but I certainly have a strong affinity for any of them I may have. May I ask, though, exactly what business it is of one that lives in Spain?
Americans not only love guns but like to order others to shut-up. It goes together.

Is that somehow a bad thing?
Well, you said that: "the NRA sells guns too?" In a way, I really don't think that they (NRA) are hoping those sales drop drastically--especially since that incoming cash fits their overall goals.

There isn't really a constitutional foundation for the state of gun ownership today.

Yeah there is. I guess you don't study the Constitution much.

The NRA sells guns now too?:lamo

Manufacturers. The NRA just cares about us when they fundraise. How many times a month do they contact you for money?

Adolf was never interested much in Spain although he did send German paratroopers there to help out Franco.

Putin is probably not interested in Spain either.

So as long as you have a good king in Spain it does not matter if you are all his subject slaves or not.

Spain is a tourist destination and nobody cares about her politics.

Mexico and Hawaii are very similar to Spain, except Mexico is a cheaper vacation while Hawaii is more expensive.

None of the 3 has any gun rights.

So none of the residents there knows anything about it.

Q.E.D.

The NRA morphed from a hunting organization to a gun rights organization in the 1960's.

That's all water under the bridge.

Hawaii is part of the US.

Actually I do. The Second Amendment was not intended for a general population that is not responsible for the defense of the nation in the absence of a standing army. Gun ownership was mandatory for men as was showing up twice annually for registration, inspection, and training in the use of said firearm because men were conscripts-in-waiting.

The topic of this thread is not Spain but the devotion to gun violence in the USA.

But you are Spanish and therefore to all intents and purposes a Communist if not British in your viewpoint.
For your information, I am non-political but this topic is not about me; it is about the inability of the American government to protect its own citizens from gunlovers.

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
Keeping the mentally ill and possible terrorists out seems well within the boundaries of a "well-regulated militia". I don't pretend to be a gun right's expert.
