It's OFFICIAL as of Clinton's statement's yesterday: He's a gun nut. Democrats should start spreading petitions condemning him.

A lot of these people live in a world very different from the world lived in by the people proposing these things,” Clinton said. “I know because I come from this world."

“The way the Obama campaign won Florida, won Ohio, won this election by more than projected was the combination of technology, social media and personal contact,” Clinton said. That’s “the only way that our side will ever be able to even up the votes in the midterms and as these issues come up, really touch people and talk to them about it.”

Further searching Clinton said that for many people, hunting and fishing are the only activities they (rual working people) really have and that rural people have to rely on self defense given how remote they are from police.

Clinton cares about other demorats, Obama does not; Clinton is history, Obama is histroic.

Clinton is a politician. Obama is an activist. It colors his world view in a totally different way than Clinton sees it.

Exactly. But will sane demorats, especially from red states/districts, intentionally damage their 2014 re-election chances to make Obama a hero for their few activist voters? Those activist votes are assured to stay with the demorat, yet the rest may see their 2A rights as more important than Obama's popularity with libtards.

If we don't trivialize "gun culture", then they shouldn't trivialize our concerns about guns and "gun culture." I have seen little evidence that those immersed in gun culture are even capable of taking my and others' concerns about guns seriously even when I and others talk to them respectfully and concede points. As such, I don't give a damn about their feelings.

This is why I'll never be a politician.

If someone does not see the value in gun ownership, sporting uses, or self protection, that is fine by me.

I won't infringe on their space, and they need to not infringe on mine.

Bill Clinton is a much more savvy politician than Obama.

Your problem is that you're purely political about guns, and have no real proof about your assertions. That's why they don't take you seriously. The people you call gun nuts grew up with guns and actually know WTF their talking about. You bring in thoughtful facts, and show genuine concern, they'll treat you different.

re: Bill Clinton's advice on gun control [W:41]

Clinton was the smartest President of my lifetime. That's not a knock on other Presidents - it's just my HO that he was/is brilliant (albeit sleazy but maybe that goes with the territory).

Obama has created a bunch of ill will fior no real gain. Clinton would not have done that. He would fight for things that a) mattered and b) were winnable and c) had useful results. Clinton understands that guns are way past control and that there are already enough laws about guns that IF they were rigidly adhered to, would accomplish the same purpose. Obama likes to embroil himself in "programs" and that's why despite him being a masterful politician and a decent human being, he doesn't make much progress.

You'll notice that were about to can kick the economy for 90 more days during which time Jesus will re-appear and tell us what to do, or something like that. You might miss this because all anybody talks about and thinks about are guns right now.

That's because your asinine concerns about gun are trivial.
