Man ambushes Firefighters responding to a fire.

Its not contrary at all. Its simple logic. If we severely reduce the amount of firearms available for these violent people to buy illegally or steal then the amount of crime committed by firearms will be reduced considerably. Simple math, the less there is of something, and the harder that something is to obtain, will cause crime rates relating to gun violence to go down. Its simple logic / math.

you apparently have no clue about the concept of elasticity of demand.

So wants (addictions) are important to you but Constitutional rights should not be treated so strictly? You need some serious help in understanding the difference between what laws/policies you want and what is actually permitted by the Constitution.

Im saying that it should be removed from the constitution.

You feel free to come and get mine anytime that you want.......

If a law passes banning firearms and a police officer showed up at your door to confiscate yours, what would you do?

I would suggest that those who try to do that are going to fail and perhaps removed from existence:mrgreen:

come looking for those who gave him the order to do that

Ah....look at you. In your zeal to destroy the law abiding citizens constitutional rights you would also advocate for the abandonment of both the first and fourth as well, so long as it suits your pathetic desire to attack law abiding citizens. Of course...you don't have the balls to do it yourself and CERTAINLY lack the character to attack criminals, but you would LOVE to see a police state go after said law abiding citizens.

Your imminent departure cant come quick enough for any of us.

I understand it completely which is why I made the statement that if firearms were banned, the price to purchase one illegally would skyrocket. As I continue to say, the black market is made up of firearms that were, at one point, owned legally. If you drastically cut the number of legal firearms, then you will also cut the number of illegal firearms. The fewer there are, the more expensive they will become on the black market. Most gun violence is perpetrated by lower income individuals against other lower income individuals that have criminal records. If the price of firearms were out of their reach they would not be able to afford them. They would have to try to steal them. If the availability of legal weapons were drastically reduced, there would be less weapons out there to steal as well. Gun violence goes down drastically as a result.

I agree, how about you gun owners come up with a fund raiser.. The get Capster78 out of the US faster fund. If you can raise $1,500,000, I would leave immediately.

Typical. Someone else has to pay for your miserable existence. Way to stick to the stereotype.

Well, we are all paying for your miserable right to own a firearm. All you have to do is pick up a paper or read news on the internet of someone else being killed by a firearm.

that is silly. your war on drugs ought to convince you what happens-it will create a huge black market and unlike drugs where there is no legal importation of cocaine or heroin, the state will continue to buy thousands of weapons each month

your biggest fail is that you think there would be no ramification for a law that causes mllions of currently patriotic and law abiding citizens being turned into criminals for merely owning guns

you want to be the cop who is called to a home for say complaints about music being too loud that turns out to have a bunch of gun owners?

you anti gun extremists cavalierly dismiss ruining the lives of millions in your pillowheaded effort to try to make our nanny state even more a nanny state so you can smugly proclaim you WANT TO DO SOMETHING

that is as stupid as saying every time a person is murdered by a black, we are all paying for the emancipation proclamation or that every time someone is killed by a DUI we are all paying for the repeal of Prohibition

tell us what is your personal stake in this--This sort of silly hatred towards legal gun ownership appears to have an emotional basis

And you should rush right out there TODAY and do something about it. Target those criminals. Oh...wait...people like you don't CARE about the day to day violence. You only crawl to the surface when it is a child or similar 'tragic' event that you can exploit.

people like him want the government to do the dirty work so he can brag at the teahers' union social or the SEIU Xmas party that he DID SOMETHING ABOUT GUN VIOLENCE when in reality he wants to start a civil war so the government will kill people who he does not agree with

which is why I say if it comes to that people like him ought to be put on the front lines of the havoc

Drugs are completely different. Not even comparable to firearms. Drugs are psychological addictions which need medical treatment. I don't think people have withdrawl when they cant own a firearm. Your comparing apples and oranges.

Well, I think that if they were law abiding citizens and a law was passed banning firearms, they would turn their firearms in. Then they would not be criminals at all, easy isent it?

Are gun owners so violent that they would shoot a cop for telling them to turn their music down.. Even more a reason to remove guns from them I say!

I certainly agree that the government has gone to far in some areas. However, gun ownership is one of the few areas I actually believe the state needs to get seriously involved in.

I am not the one wishing death on people. So far I have counted at least 5 pro-gun owners wishing death on me though.

there is no legal market for crack. in every country in the world guns are legally imported for government agents. that alone creates a supply stream for the black market

I seriously believe people like you are the enemy of free men and your schemes, if they came to fruition would cause the death of many people

'Chaos:' Gunman ambushes, kills two firefighters at New York blaze - CNN.com
How is gun control working out for us? Again, yet another example of why we should completely ban firearms. This guy was a convicted fellon and should not have been able to access firearms at all. Due to there being so many firearms floating around this country, it is easy to get one illegally. This guy did not have just one weapons either, they say he had several weapons.
Whoa, I guess it's time to put a police officer at every house, aye? Or how about the National Guard?

What you say is simply not reality. There are several other countries that have banned firearms and this has not happend at all. Can you point to a scenario where your reality came true?
