I think it's a bit harsh to be suggesting Churlant has a personality disorder. Creating a sock puppet isn't all that unusual, but he just happens to have the skill to present as an entirely different personality. Isn't that what good actors do?

Harsh isn't really the word I'd use, unless people are actually trying to insult me or something by saying I have a personality disorder. Technically the suggestion is inaccurate anyway since most personality disorders are entirely different from schizophrenia and the term has been changed anyhow.

Anyone trying to score points should be using "dissociative identity disorder," FYI.

I don't think we're trying to insult you dude, but what you're writing does seem a bit strange to the rest of us, even if it doesn't to you, I think.

You can't really expect me to believe you're a net-dweller with no history of RP?

Not on forums or anything like that, I don't roleplay no.

Hm.. so no RPG's, online or offline?

Err.. wait, do they have video games in Canada?

RPGs are vastly different than multiple personalities on a political debate site. You're required to step into the world of another being on an RPG. On this site, you voluntarily created another personality to satisfy some personal need and obviously have taken it quite seriously. I just don't understand why you didn't come back as Churlant.

Yes, we have video games in Canada. We have to run an extension cord into our igloos from the generator outside though! :P

I have played pen and paper RPGs in the past (though I haven't been into that in a long time), these days I'm playing Dragon Age on the PC quite a bit.

Well despite what idk seems to think, taking up a role on an internet forum isn't that much different from an RPG. There are degrees of passion - someone who plays Dragon Age for fun versus someone who attends D&D conventions dressed up as Mendar the Purple Wizard - but the basics are the same.

Do/did I take the Churlant/Ethos and even CJ splits seriously? Sure, but if you want authenticity, seriousness is a necessity.

P.S. I was only kidding about the Canada crack AgentM. I know you guys spend 18 hours a day shoveling snow and the other 8 is divided between sleep and curling.
