I'm looking to change how I play the game, but I can't quite place my finger on what the best way of playing the game should be. If one uses a silver tongue each game to be as convincing as possible, it's likely mafia will target that player each 1st Night. If one were to be succinct and quiet, only adding words when necessary, then that's scummy. It'd be funny if one were to copy Al Sharpton's method of taking a person's question and twisting it back on them.

I think the silver tongue method would be the best, as someone who appears to contribute to the town would probably be protected by the Doc. It'd be funny if one were to copy Al Sharpton's method of taking a person's question and twisting it back on them. That would be scummy in 2 different ways
I think an important thing to keep in mind also would be to always post the same way. Even though if you start of as scum the first game you play and could be suspect/lynched in the next few games, you're posting style cannot be evidence against you in the long run. Wake made good use of this strategy in the last game; his style was used when he was Town as well (he was scum), so only me and Chad suspected him. His Mafia came out on top.
You're right about that. Hopefully next game will go just as well.
The best way to play is learning how to adapt to every situation, and use it to your advantage. You have to be very analytical, and have a strong ability to read social cues, and other people, have the ability to get inside their head, and manipulate them, no matter what team you are on.

Changing your behavior based on the situation is scummy. However, if you behave the same way every time, then the Town will have nothing to use against you. If you are scum, the best strategy would be to try to help the Town flush out scum of opposing teams to make you seem legit.
That's not what I'm talking about, you can act the same way and still have to do what I described. You have to think several moves ahead, you have to be able to adapt your strategy, and get inside people's heads, and tell them what they want to hear, no matter what team you are on.
