The truth of the purpose of a government of a county of a free people, and those free people's Duty in Citizenship, is written in the ratified 1789 U.S. Constitution.

Re: !789 Consrirurion

Citizen's Duty in Citizenship is to protect each other (fellow citizens) from government abuse of constitutional power, and citizens have two constitutional powers to protect each other from government abuse of constitutional power.

Matters not what the convention was authorized to do, the convention wrote the Constitution and the "States" ratified it in 1789, making that Constitution the supreme Law of the Land, Article VI, Clause 2.

Ok! ...what is the point of your exercise?

The writers of the constitution realized they weren't perfect so wrote in avenues of approach to change it. They weren't infaliable and they weren't perfect. So what's your point?

Re: !789 Consrirurion

Article VI Clause 2. This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

"in Pursuance thereof" is my point. The Founder did not leave the Constitution to their posterity, and citizens, to be ratified away. The purpose of an amendment is to delegated the federal government a future power not foreseen in 1789.

Re: !789 Consrirurion[W:9]

Sorry for my typo in the title, it should be - 1789 Constitution

That's okay. So, you're not making a cogent point that anyone can follow... you just making declarative statements that have no connection to anything that you may or may not be concerned about.

"in Pursuance thereof" is my point. The Founder did not leave the Constitution to their posterity, and citizens, to be ratified away. The purpose of an amendment is to delegated the federal government a future power not foreseen in 1789.

As opposed to what? Pursuance thereof... against what?

What are you trying to say about it?

Why didn't you post this thread in the Constitution forum?

Article VI, Clause 3. The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States. (NOTE the word "this" which can be only the 1789 Constitution)
