not going to read this whole thread but theres nobody who is logical and rational on this subject that thinks banning guns will make things better overall

sometimes you just can be PC and have to be blunt about it, anybody that thinks banning guns will make things better or lower crime is a complete idiot on this subject.

I was merely assuming you had a brain and would realize that registration is to gun ownership rights as heavy cigarette smoking is to having a cancer free set of lungs

actually he is right-banning guns will only embolden real criminals, make criminals out of honest people, fuel a huge black market and all the crime that comes with it

NYC is a great example of how gun registration does not necessarily= eventual confiscation of all firearms.

banning handguns nation-wide, might actually make a difference in terms of crime in the USA.

most gun-crimes in the USA are committed using handguns, not rifles or shotguns.

Didn't you just say something about baselss opinion stating? Please provide something to back this up? As a matter of fact...back up any anti-gun argument that refers to crime reduction?

I will give you one statistic to refute this idiotic claim. Rape committed against a woman who is armed is only successful 3% of the time. 32% for the unarmed woman. Probability of injury is increased 2.5x for women who offer NO resistance from women who offer resistance with a firearm.

Handguns are banned in the UK and Australia. Rapes have risen drastically since the ban. The United States has enjoyed an increase in handgun ownership and a decrease in rapes. Hm?

Riddle me this- I carry a handgun EVERY day. It is concealed and easily accessible. I keep 16 extra rounds in a spare magazine and 13 in my gun. NOBODY has every experienced a problem at the end of my barrel, be it a criminal OR an innocent bystander. How is that possible if guns, especially handguns, are dangerous killing machines that are totally unsafe especially in public?

Did you know that as gun crime regulation increased in NYC, that the number of knife related violence increased? 347 shootings down to 292. But knife fatalities rose 50% from 82-125. What does that tell you?

given your massive errors concerning registration and confiscation forgive me if I don't buy any of your opinions on gun laws. If guns are outlawed lots of us are going to defy that law. and some will kill those who try to confiscate their guns. indeed, I would argue such an attack on our rights would justify selective and surgical removal of those who promulgate such laws and their toadies who supported such an attack on the constitution

What generation farmer the guy that lives across the street from me is? NYC might as well be a police state and the only mayor of that place I can name is Guiliani. Are we getting a picture on the importance of NYC in the deep South son?

again you fail to understand history

clinton and gore were not seen as hard core gun haters prior to their election in 1992. CLinton's actions in arkansas gave no real hint of being a gun banner and Al gore had been an A rated NRA senator up to the time he ran as a VP. Yet that administration pushed and passed a gun ban and a massive intrusion into the second amendment rights with a waiting period.

Obama and Biden had two of the most anti gun records in the senate before they won in 2008. Biden had 30+ years of gun hate on his record including being Clinton's point man in the senate to pass the gun ban. Obama's record was far shorter but he also was an F rated Senator and had once admitted he wanted a complete ban on handguns

so HISTORY shows that if Clinton and Gore-who didn't have a real anti gun record passed massive infringements on our rights then it is LOGICAL to guard against two hard core anti gun scumbags now that they are in the White House

you haven't shown which actual guns were confiscated. the law allowed gun-owners to disable their firearms or bring them out of the city.

its possible that no guns were actually confiscated. please provide any data showing guns that have been confiscated by the NYPD.

LOL you just will do anything to cover up the fact that registration leads to people being deprived of their firearms

and some guns were confiscated



registration is contrary to the interests of honest gun owners
