The State of Michigan has silenced Flint

So what specific decisions did Flint make bringing on this so called economic collapse? Produce them and when they were made.

You are being intentionally vague and simply repeating the right wing mantra of blaming the victim for historical trends it could not impact nor control.

Huge deficits. Simple. The idiots couldn't balance a budget and in playing political standoff games victimized their citizens by jeopardizing their basic human services. That's not right wing, THATS MATH.

Present the decision with verifiable evidence as I requested.

So you are against jeapordizing citizens basic human services .... how is it then that you seem to have advocated for severe gov ornamental service cutbacks which would most likely do just what you pretend to be against?

Meanwhile tens of billions of dollars pour into Israel....

The mackinaw center is a right wing think tank. Here is the only relevant part of the article which explains the economic problems of Flint

Also, General Motors shut the doors on several plants in "Buick City," significantly reducing its work force. The auto manufacturer once employed 80,000 workers in Flint. It now employs 19,000.

That is the main reason why the tax base was destroyed and it has nothing to do with any vote from Flint government.

I have no idea what Don Williams has to do with the Republicans taking over Flint.

You are talking out of both sides of you mouth. You are against jeapordizing citizens basic human services .... how is it then that you seem to have advocated for severe governamental service cutbacks which would most likely do just what you pretend to be against?

Running huge deficits didn't seem to work out so well now did it. The state financial experts( we're talking math guys, not politicians)determined that if they continued on their path, basic human services WOULD CERTAINLY BE DISPRUPTED.

Are you denying that Flint ran deficits???? If so, please share a link?? If not, are you saying that it was not mathematically possible to balance the budget??

I worked in the Michigan state legislature. I know that each side has their experts and they can spin economics any way desired. So spare me the insights.

Make up your mind. On the one hand you seem to have wanted Flint government to keep cutting back, cutting back and then cutting back some more every year or two as big employers like GM scaled down their operations and the tax base shrunk due to forces outside of the government of Flint. Then you pretend that such decisions to do what you want would not have burt basic services would not have been hurt just like they were with the water crisis.

You cannot have it both ways and this contradiction in your own position demonstrates the folly of your ideological approach.

All you need to know about the objectivity and accuracy of this source of yours can be found in this early sentence in the hit piece

Journalists pin blame for Flint’s water tragedy on the state officials who inherited the city’s mess.

NO. The Governor of Michigan Rick Snyder's own blue ribbon commission of experts pinned most of the blame on the State officials for the water tragedy.

Your source is crap.

Are you denying that Flint ran deficits???? If so, please share a link?? If not, are you saying that it was not mathematically possible to balance the budget??

Why are you now making crap up that I never said in the first place?

Do you agree or disagree with the state financial advisory board saying Flints collapse was imminent

The water crisis never needed to happen.

If the anti corrosive additive had been added to the water the lead in the old pipes would not have been been leeched out to the degree it was and the lead count would not have reached the high levels in the numbers of homes , businesses and schools that it did.

The state knew that an anti-corrosive agent would need to be added to the Flint River water.
The state had a study on Flint River water as a source of drinking water in 2011.
A 2011 study found that before water from the Flint River could be considered potable, it would need to be treated with an anti-corrosion agent, a measure that would have cost the state about $100 a day.

Experts say that water treatment would have prevented 90% of the problems with Flint's water.

In an ongoing crisis involving tainted water, Flint, MI has been effectively silenced as a political entity. The city must now get approval from the state in order to sue the state.

I don't think the state will allow Flint to sue, but do they really have to? At this point, shouldn't the humanitarian crisis aspect take over?

Even if the state does fix the problem, will Flint be able to sue if they do a poor job? This is not clear in the article, however it does mention that a statute of limitations on the notice of intent to sue might not hold up in court.

After court threat, state of Michigan removed Flint's power to sue

The City of Flint can sue in Federal Court. Let's see Michigan try to shut that down. LOL.

What does that have to do with the water problems that the Governors own panel of experts said he bore a great responsibility for the blame?
