yes, alaska can give money to russians and attend symposiums.. so can you. so can anyone the russians will welcome.

you cannot negotiate trade deals with the government of Russia, though, nor can you negotiate the rights to fish in U.S. national waters.

dunno if m. Palin ever gave money to Russian charities or went to any 'symposiums'... i would guess that she likely did not or she might have said so when given the opportunity. what she did NOT do is negotiate with the Russian Federal Republic. Because governors don't do that.

She did say that you could see Russia from Alaska.. which you technically only can see from one place if you are lucky.. a place Sarah Palin never has been. So a comedian expanded the line, so what? Fact is that Sarah Palin did say you could see Russia from Alaska (one place only) and that should give her international credentials. Considering that at the time she said it she either just had gotten her first passport or had not gotten it yet then the claim she tried to float that she on the basis of being the governor of Alaska had some sort of foreign policy experience. And since when does state governors negotiate international treaties on the behalf of the US? Sure trade missions happen, but negotiating trade treaties with other countries on behalf of the US?

Yes it is a large part of foreign policy, but not the only part. Never said it was. As I stated, rubbing arms with non-American's does not give you foreign policy experience.. by that rule, Californians would be huge experts since they have all the illegals.

What exactly did she accomplish other than get elected to office and become a mother? She left her home town in massive debt, and left Alaska before her first term was up, and barely got anything done other than suck other states for funds while claiming the opposite.. the usual I am against earmarks but gimmie everything you can policy of the Republicans. She is not ready for the top job by any means. She does not have the intellectual capacity for anything. Time and time again she has been caught showing how ignorant she really is, especially on critical issues like foreign policy and economic policy.
