My two neighbors were racists, obviously. And they were making me a victim of their racism. Because I was non-white, they presumed I was a natural partner in their resentment and animosity toward the white race. I was judged by the color of my skin, so to speak.

The Hated White Race

Despite the obvious slurs, does he have a point? I'm mixed race myself, very dark skinned, black mother, white father, and I've similar 'encounters' like he mentions here; most of the racist hate speech I encounter is from minorities who think I must 'Hate Whitey' like they do.

I rarely hear racism against whites. I see alot of racism of whites against non whites but rarely the other way around. The more north you go, the more you see it as well.
But i have come across one or two who hates whites, i just laugh and ask them what race their doctor is :P

The UK may be different, I wouldn't know; I live in the U.S. It also gets worse the further north you go here, only in reverse, i.e. the more racist blacks and other minorities get the further you go. California and the Pacific Northwest is pretty bad, too; I've lived in both places quite a number of years. When I was living in Portland, OR. in the mid-80's, they passed their first hate crime legislation. A couple of years later they had to change the law, because they were arresting too many black people under the statute, and it looked bad for the state, so they felt they needed to change it to make it more 'correct'.

Very different, there are more issues with class than there is race.
Whites even dislike whites over here based on whether they are upper/middle/working class lol

I think that even if we were all looked exactly alike and were identical in every conceivable way, people would still find reasons to discriminate against each other

Its this obsession people of defining people by race.Even well intentioned people say things like "in the black community" i see this as a somewhat soft form of racism your in the "community" if you like it or not.Noone asks what the white community thinks of things because its seems ridiculous because people have different opinions on things and their race cannot define them.

I said that I think people would find a way to discriminate against each other....as in treat each other poorly because of perceived differences. Didn't say a thing about wanting everyone to be exactly the same.
