I see a lot of black racism, surprisingly against black people.
The ‘we do not believe we are equal can make it on our merits so need quotas and affirmative action’ insecurity-mentality.

And I see a lot of racism against blacks from white liberals saying “we do not believe you are equal and can make it on your own merits so need quotas and affirmative action’ too.

This white liberal condescension even applies to President Obama. Recently rough and ready veteran reporter Sam Donaldson stated he thought the press was treating Obama very gently because they did not want to seem to be bashing America’s first black President.

*My spell check is also racist, it keeps turning Obama’s name into Osama.*

So if you live in a country where your race is a minority and that minority defends their race. Is that racist?

Is defending your race by condemming the horrible acts perpetrated by one race upon another racist?

What about a country like the US where our very own government shows racial favoritisms agaisnt the majority.

There is nothing wrong with defending a minority to achieve equal opportunity, there is something wrong, and racist I might add, by thinking a minority is not capable of equal achievement and so must be granted permanent victim status, (a caste system if you will, and even if you won't), granted a guaranteed numerical outcome regardless of their efforts to achieve.

Hell, did we give Obama 100 affirmative action electoral votes before the election started?

Nope, yet he is the Prez.

What you unsurprisingly fail to grasp is that acts are not committed upon a race. Acts are committed upon individuals.

If a man hates me because I am white he is racist. Were I to vilify his race because he hates me I am racist. Were I to proclaim the virtues of my race in response to his hatred I would still be racist.

My skin is white. My heritage is Celtic. My actions and my words, however, are mine and mine alone--and are thus neither white nor Celtic.

So it is with all people, with all actions, with all words. There are no actions committed by or to minorities, only actions committed by or to individuals. There are no words spoken for or against minorities, only words spoken for or against individuals.

But there is something wrong with a minority defending their race who obviously did not have equal avenues for equal acheivment for decades because of closeted racial views of the white majority who delt out the oppressive racial division that we still deal with even today in some parts of the country?

I think it's great that Obama being a half black man earned his way into the highest office in the land.

It was and still is a great time for our country.
