Should Turkey join USA?

Dear Americans,

Mr. Obama push Turkey in EU. 90 % europeans are against that. Maybe it will be better if you join your ally to U.S.A as 52 state. The Turks will be suerly happy to receive from you annual $170 billions for support their weakly economy and to send to you millions of uneducated jobless people for extremly successfull exploting of your social welfare system. Do not forget that more as 60 % of turkish people are more islamists as secularists.

Any tought?

Re: Should Turkey join USA?

What good does it do for President Obama to push Turkey in EU? The USA have no vote in EU and I dont think he has much influence in Europe. Also, why would Turkey want join USA?

Isn't that the Obamas speach?

"I’ve said publicly that I think Turkish membership of the EU would be important," Obama told reporters at a joint news conference with Sarkozy before they attended commemorations for the 65th anniversary of the D-Day landings in northern France.

Why would we ever want them to join us as the 51st state? They are thousands of miles away, house terrorists, and they would be a burden on the rest of our country. No point to it. Obama can advise the EU to let them join, but again it's the EU's choice, not ours.

You're right, Turkey isn't your business. The same should be for Mr.Obama, who should better advise his goverment to fight unemploiment.
Mr. Bush provoked all europeans against USA with his Turkey- "advises". The same continue now Obama, who disturb many european countries against USA.

Turkey will never join EU, and Obama should stop to pursue it.Otherwise, if he is a big friend of Turkey then he should take it to USA as 51 state.

Well EU and the US is a bit diffetrent. While the US has a federal power who collect taxes, there is no such power in the EU. No one is responsible for giving welfare to Turkey.

However, it's still worrying due to immigration. Within EU we have free immigration and I think there are a lot of people in Turkey who want to move to European countries to create a better life. Many of them end up living off the welfare state in Europe and this will increase the racism and immigration problems seen in Europe.

Racism is a problem in Europe. Take a look at British National Party in Britain who want to go back to the white Britain and throw out the immigrants. They got 6% in the last election.

The unemployment rate for germans Turks is higher as 50 %. Turks are the best only in extremly successfull exploting our welfare system. If you compare BNP and any nationalistical party in Turkey then BNP is a very and very liberal democratical party. You don't know eight racismus in Turkey and persecution of christians there.

No, our public school system already generates millions of uneducated people every year, we have no shortage.

No, if Obama is pushing it, you should be saying he wants Turkey as the 58th state.
