I am embarrassed to be an American

I am 56 years old and I have seen my share of politicians (from both sides of the isle) that were elected to POTUS that I considered to be not worthy of the job.

I thought I had seen really bad before but things are looking terrible now.

I however am completely embarrassed to be an American; why? The current POTUS Trump.

Never in my dreams would I have imagined in my life time someone that retains the office that is so immature, impetuous, impulsive, petty, divisive, and behaves in such an un-presidential manner as Trump. It truly is beyond the pall.

I cannot even watch or listen to the news any longer; I am truly embarrassed to be an American and I do not state that flippantly.

The 'cringe' factor is off the scale .......... am I the only American that feels this?

It has only been two weeks.

God help US .......

Trump is an infected running sore on the rectum of the body politic. In good time, it will be lanced and the body can begin making a complete recovery.

Yeah. Those damned liberals won't cheer the killing of an 8 year old American citizen in Yemen and want to extend a helping hand to the starving people trying to escape war torn countries. How very unChristian of them. :roll:
 
When traveling abroad, if you want to avoid the awkwardness, just say you are Canadian. :)

my Moms family came to the US from Germany in the mid 1700s
my Dads family came to the US from Scotland in the late 1700s
my family has been here a very long time
Moving is not an option & neither is the embarrassment I feel :(

I don't think you need to feel embarrassed. America is no more immune to this kind of cr*p than any other country is. And Americans have a proud history of standing up to it and fighting back.

I never said this while enduring 8 years of Obama. I may have said that Obama was an embarrassment, especially in his many foreign-relations blunders, but I was never embarassed to BE an American. :2usflag:
