But the majority of free press he got was negative. But, in a way, you are right because it became obvious to the voters that Hillary's constant negative ads, the mainstream media's bias, celebrities, etc. were just out to get Trump with doctored sound bites that the voters didn't believe. And, you are right again, that Hillary did not learn one thing from Trump's success in the primaries.
Ever heard the expression "no such thing as bad publicity." The media made him out to be evil, but it didn't matter. Why? Because they couldn't control themselves with the lies. The easily debunked ones. They tried to hide Hillary's corruption, and they essentially would not stop saying "trump." Free press man. He got it. And it showed why he won. It legitimized him. Had they just not reported him...it would not have been trump winning.
Imagine if they gave that kind of free press to Gary Johnson? Or rand Paul? Or some other no name? That person would have gotten the attention. People don't vote for someone they haven't heard of.
