Perfect Example Of Why Trump Won

Keep
Telling yourselves that. It's going to be amusing to see trump not deliver and then mental gymnastics his supporters will
Be going through to try and defend him.

I would think after all the predictions and absolute claims that Hillary and her Globalist Agenda would prevail, the crushing of those promises on November 8 would result in less willingness to expose the same shortsightedness.

Keep telling yourselves that. Things change and they will when trump can't live up to the Trumptards hype.

It's been one prediction after another from left wingers about Trump. All turning out to be wrong.

Maybe they should give it up?

See, you're obsessed with fortune telling, and that has no basis in reality. As such, the only one who needs to keep trying to convince themselves the failures of previous predictions don't count, is you.

There is a reason the folk tale of Chicken Little was created some 25 centuries ago.

Hint: It wasn't the Comey letter and it wasn't because of Russian hacking.

Great article. There are so many people feeling left behind and looking for hope. When a flashy billionaire comes to town and yells about how he is going to bring all your jobs back and make America into whatever you believe is great he starts to look like a better gamble than more of the same old politicians. The important thing for people to realize is that this isn't a Republican vs Democrat thing. They voted for Trump regardless of what letter he had next to his name. That's why I don't like to demonize Trump supporters. I'll hate on Trump all day, but in a few hours I'll still be rewiring some electrical and putting up drywall with my father, who was a passionate Trump supporter. That's even if I was a passionate Bernie supporter, and held my nose to push the button for Clinton.

It was also from Republicans during the primary as well. Only after the Trump train seemed unstoppable did the reps turn from doing whatever they could to stop him, and instead decided to suckle from him

You are correct. Almost everyone was wrong about Trump, myself included.

I have sworn off all attempts to predict that he won't be able to do what he wants to do. And no, neither me nor many Republicans are in line with everything he says he wants to do.

So Trumps alliance with Putin will be preferable to NATO? What possible sense does that make? Russia is a 3rd world nation who's corruption is legendary and makes nothing we want to trade for. How can our relationship be beneficial compared to our valued trading partners in Europe and Asia?

Alliance? You know that meme only gets nods on far left of the room. Why can't the US have a more reasonable working relationship with all players in the international arena?

Because Putin is actively pursuing clandestine methods to bring down Western Democracies and is bullying his neighbors. Somehow that seems incompatible with any "working relationship" don't you think? Trump said that "NATO was obsolete" again yesterday and that he would remove Russian sanctions in exchange for "reductions in nuclear arms". What do nuclear arms have to do with the reason for the sanctions? I say again what do we have to gain by weakening Europe and strengthening a dictator of a 3rd world nation? Besides the Trump dynasty getting much richer I mean.

What alliance? Shouldn't you wait for it to happen before you worry about it?

Obama's policies towards Russia have placed us in a position to go to war with Russia. Would you prefer the same path be followed?

NATO, and organizations like the UN, have grown increasingly ineffective and politicized. The US has been asked to carry too much of the burden for far too long.

It seems to me as political ideologies and influences weigh in, there is a tendency to be hoping over both sides of the aisle.

Do we spend too much on the Military, or not enough? Are we to pull back, or push forward?

There is a need for a rethink on the whole subject, and I do not see reason for alarm regarding Trumps comments or discussions on how to move forward along a different path.

It is already happening....

(CNN)Donald Trump's accusation that NATO is "obsolete" has led to "astonishment and agitation" within the alliance, Germany's foreign minister has said.

Speaking in Brussels before a meeting of EU foreign ministers, Frank-Walter Steinmeier suggested the alliance was rattled by the remarks by Trump.
In a joint interview with the Times of London and the German publication Bild, Trump signaled that US foreign policy in a range of areas could be turned on its head. He suggested that sanctions imposed after Russia's annexation of Crimea could be eased in return for a deal to reduce nuclear weapons, that German Chancellor Angela Merkel had pursued "catastrophic" policies on refugees, and that his son-in-law Jared Kushner could lead a Middle East peace effort.

He won with a lower percentage of the vote than Romney lost with. This notion that Trump (who is the most unpopular president elect in decades) somehow inspired millions is absurd. He won because Hillary could not get the Obama coalition to show up.

LOL You sound like such a wimp, no wonder Putin thinks he can get way with anything.. We have nearly always been "in a position to go to war with Russia" and the current leadership is no different. You make it seem like we should have surrendered to them years ago. The MAD theory still presides and it has worked for 75 years. Russia would not risk annihilation anymore than we would. Embracing Russian interests would be a sure way to destablize the world and make a war more likely.

You said you were scared that Russia would go to war with us didn't you? Tell me what that sounds like? We will not be surrendering to anyone because we are afraid. That is not what America does.
