He also predicted more countries will follow Britain by leaving the European Union – because of the migration crisis and Angela Merkel’s “catastrophic” decision to open Germany’s borders.

Trump also made an astonishing attack on Angela Merkel saying the European Union is a “vehicle for Germany”.

He ranked the German Chancellor alongside Vladimir Putin as a potentially problematic ally.


And he said while he had great respect for Ms Merkel, his trust for her “may not last long at all”.


He said Germany’s dominance of the EU showed why the UK was “so smart” to get out.


The incredible remarks will send shockwaves throughout the EU.

I wonder how this will play with the German electorate... as many believe Merkel ****ed up royally by encouraging the Islamic & Others Tsunami to invade not just Germany but Europe.

To put her in the same boat as Putin is hilarious. I could understand it if he said that about Schroeder, who is on the Russian payroll.

A lot of Europeans will be happy to hear what he said... the elite... not so much.

P1 is spot on.

P2... trial is a bit much, but forced out of office... we will see. There is an election next year, and people are not happy. I'm surprised the party (parties CSU/CDU) haven't stepped on her neck and told her it's over.

The most interesting party will be the AFD... they grew due to Merkel's idiocy.

I spend more of the year in Europe than North America these days, and what Merkel did was stupid beyond belief.

These people came from the ME.

What was wrong with going to Turkey, or having these people go to other ME lands? That would have been wiser.

Nope. Merkel encouraged these people to invade Europe... and they had no idea who these invaders are.

It's not hatred to protect your people.

You have any idea how "integration" is working in Malmo? Stockholm? Goteborg? Paris? Oslo? Not too good. Awful one could say.

Sweden has the 2nd highest rape rate after South Africa. I lived there over a 9-year period. Rape was uncommon back then.

Perhaps you'd like to have your wife and children live next to a refugee camp?

I was under the impression that Germany needed "worker bees" because of a booming manufacturing arena. Very low unemployment and an aging labor force. The Muslim refugees solve the problem. The wealthy German economy supports the EU to some extent. If the refugees assimilate, everything will be OK. If not. All hell breaks loose.

They're not skilled labor.

Germany has as much unskilled labor from Eastern Europe as they want... if they needed more they could make Romania and other countries part of the open border part of the EU.

Really the "Christian thing"??? Why didn't she donate her own private funds to Christian organizations that were promising to house refugees then? Instead she forced the entire nation to adopt a policy based on her fundamentalist beliefs. Religious theocracies are bad no matter what form they take.

Good post. Except for one word near the end: refugee. Even the ultra-pc Swedish government admits that at most only 25% of the migrants arriving here and claiming asylum are actually refugees. It is probably more like less than 10%. Our migrants, like Germany's, come from Asian countries like Pakistan and from all of North Africa - and further South down to and including Nigeria.

Btw we have more migrants relative to the size of our population than Germany. And more "unaccompanied refugee children" - who are seldom either refugees or children - than the rest of the EU put together.

Well that's one "1st world problem" that Germans don't have to worry about anymore. With enough terrorist attacks and Germans getting murdered the manufacturers will leave: exactly as Merkel wans.

I'd bet that sentencing a few of those imported rapists to ten or fifteen years at hard labor on a chain gang would make their fellow savages far more hesitant to rape the local women.

The two cultures are diametrically opposite of each other, and are diametrically opposed to each other. We are seeing the results of ignoring this all over various EU countries but especially in France.

If someone leaves their native country and culture in favor of another country and culture, assimilation of their new country's culture is the price of admission.

There are many who do pay this price of admission and are more than welcome to live in peace in their new country. However, there are many who don't, or who's progeny don't. It would be best if those that refuse to assimilate with the local country culture return to where their cultural imperatives are the norm.

This is not to say that they need to abandon their religion or culture while in their new country, but they need to be observant that theirs is the foreign religion or culture and not demand that their new host country bend to their will, to their culture. As they say, when in Rome . . . .
