This is turning out to be pure comedy.

It was laughable when we had moronic conservatives running around calling Obama a Muslim and citing obscure blogs and dubious bits of information as evidence. What the left is now attempting to do with Trump and Russia is every bit as moronic. The difference is that at least the "Obama Muslim" charges were largely confined to right wing blogs and conspiracy sites. This Russian Boogieman stuff has spilled over into the mainstream.

Emotions run hot after an election, I get that, but this is getting ridiculous. Chasing this narrative will come back to haunt the left. Mark my words.

Haha. Yeah. Former superpower rival and cold war opponent interferes with our election to get their man in the White House.
And American citizens think it's laugh riot. Giving comfort and support to the nation's enemies is always funny, no?
You should check out ISIS's act! You'll love it. They hate us more than Putin.
You'll laugh until you die.

PS: Even your Dear Leader is now in on the joke. But then again... he was also a major figure in the birther movement, so he could just be gullible.

Personally, if I were a DNC supporter I'd be way more pissed to find out how corrupt the party had become than I would at who provided the information... but that's just me.

Yea they care so much about Russia now....
Russia, China, North Korea, etc. etc. have been repeatedly trying to hack us for decades... and we have been hacking them for decades. This isn't new information. We've mettled in Russian elections and other foreign elections MANY times. This has been a part of the game... the only time when you have taken big issue to all this is when you think they made a candidate you hate president.

Russia is not nearly the most dangerous one. It would actually be more beneficial to make peace with Russia so they don't succeed in making a separate world currency with China. Obama has said it himself that Russia is nowhere near the power they used to be, they are weak in the grand scheme of things. But having a country like Russia ally with China just makes the Chinese competition that much more of a threat.

The U.S. has put spyware on every PC hardware going into Russia...Interfered in Russian and Ukraine Elections.... got caught with a spy just a couple of years ago. Interfered with the election in the Philippines, and when Kerry tried to pull some more BS... the Filipino called him a ****ing ***hole... and pledged more allegiance to China and Russia

It's as if you are the bully that has been pranking everyone on the block, and just one day you get outsmarted by one of the little guys and you have egg on your face.... and now you run and tell your parents for being bullied. This is 100% partisan BS, none of them would care if the tables were turned on the other side of the aisle.

I don't spend a lot of time thinking about how I'd feel if I were a DNC-supporter.
That would just be a distraction from the real issue of Russian interference and the aid and comfort coming from the RWNJs/Fifth Column/President-Elect.

Aid and comfort? Care to elaborate?

Denigrating our intelligence agencies and governmental leaders for telling you the truth about the hostile actions of a foreign nation and competitor.... Even after the man who benefited from the election interference admits Russia's culpability?

Yeah. That's providing "aid and comfort".

What side do you think you'll be on if this situation unravels into war?

I highly doubt that any of this will come back to "haunt" anyone. Oh, and by the way, you forgot how pervasive the "Obama is a secret Marxist Muslim traitor" line of thought seems to be among the Republican base.

Of course, seventeen federal intelligence agencies didn't investigate whether Obama was a Muslim.

You know China has been continually trying to steal our technologies that have costed us billions of dollars in research? They do things like hire spies to steal seeds from genetically modified crops in which US companies have spend millions and millions of dollars of research to obtain, or hack into top of the line research facilities in U.S. universities to steal their research and technology.

These sort of things do a SIGNIFICANTLY more damage than a hacking of some corrupt politicians emails and exposing their corrupt dirty laundry. Isn't this the WHOLE POINT on why Hillary private email server was such a big deal? It makes all her information extremely exposed to outside hackers. The U.S. does the same thing to Russia and China... Like I said before, we installed spyware on PC hardware going into Russia on the base hardware itself and not on the operating system making it extremely hard to detect.

If it unravels into war that would mean that Trump is no longer providing "aid and comfort", right?

17 intelligence agencies didn't investigate whether or not Trump was working with Putin, either.

Sure. We need to confront the copyright infringement and intellectual property-theft that constitutes another contemporary problem. I agree. That's not what this thread is about though, so I'm not going to go into it.
So... what do YOU think we should do about the Russian election interference?
Laugh about it? Give them some concessions? Cozy up right nice?

What exactly is ridiculous about American being concerned that a long time enemy foreign power interfered in our electoral process and may have helped elect a candidate of their choice over the choice of the American people?

I was talking about you and your thread.

Are you presuming that Trump is going to remain president long enough to see us into a war with Russia?

The issue that disturbs me the most is the media and other social leadership forces, are close to calling for armed insurrection. Sure, they don't use the words, but what recourse is left? Civil disobedience? I'll tell you - they will become more marginalized and more anti-social. This is exactly what Russia and our other enemies want - a rejection of all that has sustained us.

The media and Democrat leaders are doing the nation a major disservice.

I simply think the blame should be less on the Russians and more on our security systems. We are guilty of the same things Russia is. We objectively can't really be pointing fingers. I think it's good to recognize that Russia was responsible and that we ought to engage in negotiations to prevent something like this in the future. The way the media and most everyone I'm hearing is just turning this into a Bash Trump/ War with Russia storm... and I don't support it.

I think what you're suggesting is an extremely weak foreign policy approach.
Obama would have been skewered if he suggested that response to a hostile cyber attack on our nation under any circumstances that didn't result in Trump's election victory,

It isn't that hostile xD it only became hostile because Hillary and the DNC was corrupt and her aides were a bunch of weirdos. If the emails were a bunch of typical work emails no one would given a crap. They had impact because they had something to hide.

We have done the SAME exact sort of stuff... how is it weak? It's kind of stupid, really, and the world would know it. We would be the ones that were contradictory. Why get mad when you do the same thing to others?

what we don't do is steal Chinese companies trade secrets...

And I think your opinion on this issue has much to do with partisanship.
Did you really ever anticipate that Russia would be caught interfering in the American electoral system, and that you'd shrug it off with a laugh?

Not me, bro.

Ah, so I imagined this?
No, you just didn't read what I wrote.

Those investigations had nothing to do with Trump. In case you haven't been paying attention, the anti has been upped and now the claim is that Trump was working with the Russians all along.

That isn't the ridiculous part. The ridiculous part is the kind of stuff that happened yesterday that butthurt partisan whack jobs are buying into and propagating.

So Putin didn't want to deal with Hillary. I can't blame him. Hell, Bill doesn't want to deal with Hillary.
