During President-elect Donald Trump’s press conference today, Trump took aim at “fake news” regarding the release of an unverified dossier by Buzzfeed, calling them a “failing piece of garbage.” Following that, he ended up getting into an argument with a CNN reporter, who he also called out during the presser over their report on a two-page synopsis they claim was presented to Trump.

With Trump looking to call on other reporters, Jim Acosta yelled out, “Since you are attacking us, can you give us a question?”

“Not you,” Trump said. “Your organization is terrible!”

I fully agree.

CNN was so eager to attack Trump, they didn't give a fig about verifying this thing's authenticity. Now they have egg all over their faces and their credibility is seriously damaged.

Hypocrisy. Trump was happy to use fake news (AKA lies) when going on about Obama's birth certificate, and giving the head of Breitbart a job in the White house.

His behaviour in the press conference was delusional, vain, and embarrassing. He doesn't know how to behave like a President.

I think that's fair enough. And the reporter thought he'd shame him into it. Big mistake. I am quite sure certain reporters are rewarded or punished based on their coverage or lack thereof. Nothing new here.

Oh, wait it's Trump. THIS IS A FRONTAL ASSAULT ON TRUTH, JUSTICE AND THE AMERICAN WAY!!!

Anything that reflects negative news on Trump is going to get called "fake news."

That truly is "SAD!"

There is a full court press by many to demean Trump, from media, to politicians, to the so called Intelligence community..........believe it!

Can't wait for the current asshole in chief to be gone!

And I'm loving It! I've been waiting for years for those complete and utter liberal assholes at CNN, to get their karma!

I think his behavior is great....knock these prima donnas on their arrogant asses!

Most MSM are total, arrogant assholes, bar none!

And if you notice, Tump didn't even kacknowledge what outlet he was talking to. No publicity at all. Wonder if he was escorted out. Lovely moment.

Fake news is a problem. But Trump complaining about it is laughable.

It's sad we have some news outlets that have lost any objectivity the claim to have. We have news outlets that will run with an unverified story about a politician for ratings over information . We have news outlets that will supply their preferred candidate with debate questions to help them out. We have organizations that call one person's move unprecedented while in the same article admit that person did the exact same thing his predecessor did.
Both sides seem to use the phrase "fake news" to disparage stories they don't like.

CNN has been called the "Clinton News Network" for good reason. Since Trump ruined the expected coronation of our frist female president, it doens't surprise me in the least that CNN will do anything and everything to descredit Trump.

Trump got where he is from the torrent of fake news swamping the internet. Much of it Moscow based. Did you noticed how his denials today matched those from Moscow almost word for word?

what are your feelings on fox news?

It's a mess and real journalism went out the window when Cronkite interjected his personal views about Viet Nam, undermining the war effort and the troops fighting there.

No surprise from me either.

Because dear Manc....Russia is "Classic Misdirection!" ;)

Fools who believe it was Moscow are just fools! Don't forget, the hacks were all true and Demos own the nefarious deeds! The Left is butt hurt because they got caught!

what are your feelings on fox news?

Don't know about others, but I trust Fox more than CNN or PMSNBC, ABC or CBS or PBS.
Their continual daily and ongoing liberal slant, toward obama and against Trump, is despicable.

What's worth, the morons who vote for asshat of the year awards, believe the lies! ;)

Journalists wouldn't be doing their job if they slavishly devoted themselves to praising the government.

More fake news... :spin:

This Mediaite article, while not exactly fake news, is a prime example of slanting spin designed to advance a narrative.

"...he ended up getting into an argument..."

No, he didn't. The CNN reporter was shouting and disrupting the press conference and Trump, repeatedly but calmly, shut him down. There was no arguing involved on Trump's part.

Not true at all. Fake news, as in this pathetic BS promoted by the frauds at CNN and other outlets, should always be called out.

The people deserve a news media devoid of ideological agenda's. Allowing such efforts to go unchecked is to ignore very dark chapters in World History.

Didn't you receive your talking points this evening? Even your Dear Leader now acknowledges that Moscow was behind the DNC hacks.
It's awesome though that you have finally realized that you helped elect a "fool".
You've taken the first step toward your recovery.

The only reason conservatives like you are using the term "fake news" is that "the left" first used it to describe fabricated stories that circulated via facebook; stories that were pro-Trump/anti-Clinton.

It's a familiar pattern. The Hated Left gives a name to something bad, so the right immediately starts using that exact name mockingly about everything it considers to be on the left. And, sure enough, we've already got hundreds of posts from people on the right, on DP, calling anything negative of Trump "fake news".....even if it's an article about something that Trump was recorded saying on video.

He's really got you under his thumb, if you're going to prospectively claim that everything "CNN and other outlets" is "fake news". What are those other outlets? Well, for some odd reason I suspect they don't include Fox News, Breitbart, Red State, American Thinker, Heritage Foundation, or anything like that. For some reason, I suspect you only include those sources that lean left.

But I would appreciate it if you surprised me by calling Fox News "fake news" too, even if it wouldn't be accurate to do so.

I'd most appreciate a truly balanced and honest approach: Let's admit that there is "real news", all of which is biased in one way or another, and there's "fake news" which is like The Onion except that it tries to make itself appear as "real news"; further, that both CNN and Fox are "biased news" and not "fake news"

Can we do that? Can we surprise me?

and Remember folks, the OP and Trump himself have used InfoWars as a source, just food for thought.

I'd most appreciate honesty and basic human decency. The only reason "fake" is being used is when a story is fake. No need to pontificate on that, or invent some motivation.

If it's fake, it's fake.

I've spent an enormous amount of time here on DP countering even the out of context deceit shown on videos. How? By posting the complete transcript of Trumps comments to show the frauds in the MSM edited his comments to fit their narrative.

If you can't handle the truth, I guess that will be a problem for you.

Apparently, Trump was confusing CNN with Buzzfeed and accused them of being "fake news..first. I think the CNN reporter was within his right to demand clarification.
