FBI Releases More Hillary Emails, Says 'Hostile Foreign Actors' Accessed

The FBI late Sunday night released additional documents related to the investigation into Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server, posting the information on its website and doing so without sending out a release or announcing the move.

WikiLeaks reported the news first.

The documents can be found in full on the FBI site and, contain information regarding the FBI's investigation into Clinton after it received computer hardware and additional emails from Clinton’s lawyers.

Wait... what happened to Comey's stated commitment to provide that information to the applicable Congressional Investigations committee(s)? I guess that only applied when Clinton was in the running for Commander-in-chief.

Reiterates suspicions that the FBI/DOJ were in cahoots to keep this info from the public and protect HRC.

She may have done considerable damage to our country's security all on her own.

Maybe the hacking bs was intended to be a distraction from the reality here.

Those yoga and grandma emails ?

Maybe the hacking bs was intended to be a distraction from the reality here.

The only reason the hacking because a big deal was because Trump made it one dismissing it out of hand and attacking intelligence agencies. It seems quite foolish to me for someone to suggest that Republicans and Democrats became alarmed and angered over that behavior in order to distract you from Hillary Clinton.

The Left is running with the hacking as a crime equivalent to Watergate. [cause it's all they got] I have yet to see anything but supposition. "If it quacks like a duck"...isn't good intelligence work.

Do you really think it's odd that people would start making suppositions when a newly elected President who hadn't even bothered with intelligence briefings rejects out of hand reports of possible election interference by a foreign power?

I don't. That's exactly the kind of thing one would be drawn to make suppositions about, because why on Earth would an incoming American President act that way?

Of course, I do find it bitterly hilarious how the left is being criticized for "suppositions" and "running with the hacking as a crime equivalent to Watergate" in the millionth thread about Hillary's private ****ing email server. That has to be the most overblown story of the century and the right is still clinging to it like it's the biggest news in town.

It's really disturbing that Trump would reject the CIA's conclusions which means he thinks they are either incompetent or just lying.

But it's par for the course for that buffoon. He's done it before, by claiming Bush lied about IRAQ WMD.Since Bush was merely passing on info from the CIa, that means he thinks the CIA lied.

Not worried about her selling out of America are you?

And how, pray tell, did Hillary "sell out" America? Or are you asking me whether she would sell out America (whatever that means) if she had one?

I continue to think the email server issue was overblown. It was bad, but nothing like what the GOP played it up to be. (Nevermind that they only found out about it by going on a seven-investigation witch hunt designed to try to hurt her with Benghazi. It's not like the GOP decided that it was important to make sure our computers are really secure and discovered this in the course of that investigation.)

The FBI found she was careless but was just about as careless with sensitive info as the last 5 SoS's - a detail her biggest detractors find necessary to ignore - it's just that her carelessness played out over a private email server. It also said it had never charged someone in similar circumstances, that all cases in which they recommended charges involved aggravating factors.

Nobody has proved this false or even tried.

And unlike Trump, she at least made a show of apologizing and saying it was a stupid thing to do.

So no, I do not think that being negligent with emails indicates a desire to "sell out America", whatever that's supposed to mean. I do think Trump's history shows he is willing to sell anyone or anything out as long as it helps his image. Selling out America would not help his image, so no, I do not think he is plotting to do so. Then again, unlike many conservatives who speak about Hillary, I never suggested that Trump is actually evil.

I'm still pretty damn concerned that he thought it would be OK to ignore intelligence briefings and then, when confronted with reports of potential interference in our election, he thought it'd be fine to attack the intelligence agencies for reporting on this intelligence.

Nobody has any business defending him for that while criticizing Hillary over an email server.

So was there anything new in the emails that we didn't already know?

Newsmax headline is misleading and out of context to what it says in it's article....but then why would you expect anything less from a fake news website?

..."that hostile foreign actors successfully gained access to the personal email accounts of individuals associated with whom Clinton was in regular contact and, in doing so, obtained emails sent to or received by Clinton on her personal account...."

At least they called the Russians "hostile foreign actors" instead of BFF.

So was there anything new in the emails that we didn't already know?
Well, Judge Andrew Napolitano seems to think this "is a smoking gun if ever there was one".

Wut?

Headline.

What you quoted as being reported.
..."that hostile foreign actors successfully gained access to the personal email accounts of individuals associated with whom Clinton was in regular contact and, in doing so, obtained emails sent to or received by Clinton on her personal account...."

The problem seems to be with your understanding of what you read.

I think both sides that have posted here are missing the point - American politicians, whether they are Republicans or Democrats, whether they were with Hillary or against her, whether they are with Trump or against him, are getting out of control with their abuses of power. Trump is endangering national security by refusing to commit to intel briefings, and Hillary endangered national security by exposing state secrets via a private email server.

The only reason the hacking because a big deal was because Trump made it one dismissing it out of hand and attacking intelligence agencies. It seems quite foolish to me for someone to suggest that Republicans and Democrats became alarmed and angered over that behavior in order to distract you from Hillary Clinton.
1. The only reason folks have made a big deal out of the supposed hacking is because of politics.
2.They released this info with announcement. There is a reason for that. There is no way they didn't know the supposed info about Trump was going to be released.

... when a newly elected President who hadn't even bothered with intelligence briefings
iLOL
There was no need to take briefings when they are a rehash of previous briefings.
So your objection is political bias speaking.

... rejects out of hand reports of possible election interference by a foreign power?
When there is no proof what do you think should be done?

Apparently you missed the part about this being a new release of information and a prior New Jersey Superior Court Judge saying this "is a smoking gun if ever there was one".

Trump is endangering national security by refusing to commit to intel briefings,
I have to disagree with this.
If there is new information sure, but as it was, no.
There is no reason to get a rehash of what you were already given.

Again, you miss the point - American politicians are abusing and privatizing their power.

No. Separate things.

You held out something to be true to make a point. That point falls apart when it is shown that what you held out to be true really isn't.

I am not saying is that you can not make you point in a different way.

Is there supposed to be some sort of meaning to this incoherent rambling?

iLOL
Deflection.
Your point was false. There was no reason to attend briefings where the information is the same.
Thus what you chose to use it in support of falls apart.

Find a different way to make your overall point. Duh!

Seeing how I was being unbiased, impartial and objective in my assessment of the overall direction our government has undertaken in the past 50 years, your blatant political hackery has been exposed and your argument is invalid.

She was an acting SoS with an known insecure server. How much more of a sellout could that be?

and I don't give a rat's ass about the 'others' who were doing this or that. We're talking about Hillary.

Wrong again.

Again.
Trump is endangering national security by refusing to commit to intel briefings, ...

No he is not, thus your overall point falls apart.

I find this whole thing hilarious, seeing how it all started with you bullheadedly ignoring the entire post and going after the small part of the post criticizing Trump. It is even more hilarious because it wasn't even about Trump, and neither is this thread.

You also seem to be missing the point.
You made two claims used in an attempt to make a point.
That point fell apart because one of those claims was wrong.
In other words, your criticism of Trump in this regards was wrong. There is no reason to attend briefings where the information is the same.

So again ...
